I wanna start throwin some 5s on the big table at my resort this year. Problem is, sometimes I tend to underotate and land parallel to the fall line. If I do this like over a 30ft table will you break both your legs or can you tumble out of it? Basically, will underotating end your season off a big table?

Can you do them on a smaller table? I wouldn't do them on a bigger one until you can. Peace.

not necessarilly... plus it is soooo much easier to spin over a big table... u should be ok on a 30 ftr but u never know u can break something just falling... all depends how u fall

Just pop a little harder and keep looking around for the landing using your shoulders and hips to keep you spinning. Hope that helps.

you could always be under rotating becuase you keep looking over your sholder for the landing. I know everyone always says to keep looking at the landing as you spin the last 180, but when you get to like 450 look between your legs at the snow or down beside your leg......

because looking right over your shoulder might cause you to stall your rotation.

going off of a huge table and landing perpendicular to the landing can do some serious damage if you land wrong like whiplash, broken wrist, broken hip, separated sholder, hitting your head, etc..

like mike said, you might be landing sideways cause you're still trying to spot your landing. Half the time I land fives completely blind, its just something you've got to get used to to get completely backwards and have limited vision. To get ready for big tables, just do it so much off little jumps, on a tramp, or just doing it in your shoes in your backyard, that it's completely natural.

=I'm down with the flippy spinny thing.=

when you under rotate you probably wouldnt break your legs...just maybe a nice little concusion...but it really just depends on how you fall

oh man i did some nasty 450s this year, haha. but i broke man shoulder/arm on a 30 ft jump....... but then again it was a gap so i think on a table you'll survive.

at least you guys get to land in powder. not slush that got frozen over and will cut through your skin if you touch it. its some scary stuff....

Okay I'm on the west coast and last season although maybe not so bad for peeps on the East coast it sucked for us. Grouse mountain, vertical 4300ft had just gotten like 150cm of fresh. It was amazing for a local mountain to get so much in a day. Then the very next day the mountain got like 30mm of rain! For the next month the whole mountian was a solid piece of ice. Very, very painful.

I can totally grease them on skates. At HN I tried a couple over the small table and only landed it once (very last jump of the session, then the diggers shut the jump down). I know the feeling but its kinda hard over a small table with not much air, kept landing 450, mad crotch sprains.

on big tables its a lot easier cuz its mouch more in the head than on spins on tiny tables

when you get good at spinning you can do 540's with only like a foot of air

With my skates on I can do them almost just jumping from the flat ground, but skiing I really have to prewind and explode.
