"TRY MAKING ANOTHER LIST NOW!"

I agree, Wallish was placed in front of legends like Chris Davenport and Candide Thovex. Not that he isn't an amazing athlete, but this list was about the most influential people.

"This gallery highlights who we believe are CURRENTLY the 50 most influential figures in action sports."

this is why the list might not make sense. It's a list of the ones who are the biggest influences right now. Not of all time.

Indeed, that was fucking whack. No Shane McConkey.. dafuq?

Really surprised there wasn't any climbers on that list too, Chris Sharma definitely should've made it over half the clowns on that list.

no one from the Zephyr team? It's not like they're the while back bone of what skateboarding is today.

PEOPLE WHO ARE CURRENTLY THE MOST INFLUENTIAL.

that means not of all time. i really dont see how people cant read that.

half the skaters today wouldnt have the slightest clue who they are.

Word, tony alva, jay adams. And where the fuck was Steve Caballero? After all, nearly every extreme sport names a switch trick cab 3, 5 half cab etc. etc.

Quite a few skiers actually, I didn't count but t seemed as if there were more skiers than any other sport. Also, I was pumped to see Trennon Paynter on the list

that list is bullshit, no tanner hall, matt hoffman, danny way, or most of all Danny Kass (not a big fan of the guy but he has had a huge influence on snowboarding and action sports culture) but the guys who made twitter are one there. Also the write-ups are shit too. Nate Adams is on there but there's no mention of his company Deft Gloves. Could have been way better and had better write-ups.

True that, Glen Plake is like an OG of action sports, and helped revolutionize skiing. definitely deserves a spot of Ken Block who did jack shit.

agreed...McConkey is an icon and should be on the list, along with a number of other big mountain skiers and base jumpers like perhaps Jeb Corliss...

I am surprised to hear people not like Pastrana, i thought he pushed Moto freestyle more than anyone...he also does do a lot of other extreme and crazy shit that brings attention to a lot of other crazy extreme sports...i think the dude is legit

Pastrana was a given. There were a lot of surfers and I noticed kelly wasn;t coming up so I figured he would be up there. I don;t think Douglas should be ahead of wallisch if it is a list of who is currently influential. of all time sure put douglas up there but I wouldnt put him above tom right now.

maybe I'm blind but I didn't see it written anywhere that it was the current most influential, just the 50 most influential people in action sports.

It's espn what do you expect? They pimp out sports with the x-games and if you have won gold you are immediately a "most influential person"

Mark Gonzalez is the first person that came to mind in regards to the skateboarders on the list. With out mark gonzales there would be no sheckler (bitch) Nyjah (bitch) grant taylor (not a bitch at all and deserves to be well ahead of those two bitches. and rob dyrdek (fucking pimps out skateboarding harder than anyone)

I fucking hate espn and I want skateboarding to be taken out of the fucking x games its horse shit in my opinion the judging is fucked its over hyped and its for contest freaks. there are far better skateboarders and farrrr more influential ones than ryan fucking sheckler, nyjah fuck my ass huston, and rob dyrdek.

Disagree.

Douglas says or someone says to Douglas: let's ski on waves. It Happens. It's big. Everyone knows about it.

I doubt Wallisch could pull that off.

But yeah, I really don't get it. There's a lot of people in backrooms who have plenty more influence than that list. However, the hurley guys or something like that were included in the list so it's like WTF does this list represent.

Surprised there weren't more skateboarders. Surprised Levi Lavalle was on the list.

Was this supposed to be a list of names you remember one week after watching the xgames? That's what it seemed like. Is that really influence? No.

Glen Plake talks. Everyone in skiing listens.

Tom Wallisch talks. Park rats listen.

Who has more influence? The guy 20% of skiers will listen to or the guy 100% of skiers will listen to.

Also Kelly Clarke > Jess Kimura. What a Joke.
