50 Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Part Of 93 North In NH

A multi-car accident has shut down I-93 North near exit 3 in Derry, New Hampshire.

Fifty vehicles, including three buses and two tractor trailers, were

involved in the crash, which happened around 9 a.m. on Sunday.

According to witnesses on the scene, a bus carrying Boy Scouts from

Massachusetts was at the front of the crash. The driver of their bus

was trying to avoid another car that had gone out of control.

Another bus carrying the UMass women's hockey team was also involved in the accident.

Twelve people were transported to area hospitals. Four of those victims

were taken to the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. All are said to

have non-life threatening injuries.

It is unclear how long the highway will be closed for. In the meantime, traffic is being detoured to Route 28.

Just heard about, maybe even a 60 car crash. we got about 6 inches, so driving conditions were awful. Derry NH isn't too far from here either. i'm pretty pumped to ski though.
 
yes, we were going on our ski trip up to Gunstock.

friday a pre fabricated home got dumped all aver 93. there is no exit for 93 in derry all the exits are in londonderry.
 
these are my thoughts on what occurred.

it was strange. I was just watching chilling on the bus, trying to fall asleep, not really paying attention to whats going on up ahead, when Bang, I thought we had run over something, Bang, wtf is going on, did we just hit something, third and final BANG, oh shit look at that car, just got smashed and is crashing to the side. Bus stops. look back, oh shit! cars smashed, spun left and right from what I could see from the bus. my friend said he saw a wheel go bouncing away after the first car hit us, he said it was our wheel, i said "Will, that's no wheel from a bus". so some of the adults got out helped, the injured. I wanted to get out, but we had to stay on the bus. Cops arrive, paramedics, firefighters. Scoutmaster comes back after checking people. "There is a major pile up behind us! Thankfully no one is seriously injured, and we are all ok." finally we left because our bus was totally fine, and got barely any visible damage. Looking across on the way back you could just see the chaos, tons of cars. We got back to the church at lo and behold there's a fuckin' channel 5 news reporter. I was like I wanna get interviewed. I tried to get in some background shots, but I watched the news and Will, and Stuart were the only ones to get shown. Oh well, happy I'm safe and home. My thoughts and prayers go out to the people who got injured and their poor cars that got as will said "Destroyed"...
