I need a pow/all mountain ski for less then 400$ and the 4frnt YLE look like my best option. Basically I need a pow ski that can also carve pretty well and can also shred a little bit in the park from time to time (I have my pure park). I consider myself an advance skier Im 6'0 (still growing a little bit) and 140 (skinny motherfucker). I ski at Mt. hood and sun valley( this is where the carving comes in to play). Also size wise id probably be smarter to go with the 187s rigth? Im also looking at a pair of shreditor 102s and I know these would carve fairly well and be a good park ski but as far as flotation in pow how would it be compared to the YLEs?

also im open to suggestion on other skis so dont be afraid

+k to anyone who can help

Hey man, I just got my YLES mounted but I haven't skied them yet, just buttered around in my house haha. Anyway so before I bought the

I did some research and I heard they are a pretty good all around pow ski. Thy ski the pow well, handle crud well, and do well on hardpack for a pow ski. The occasional park lap on them even didnt sound too shabby.

So I have not yet skied these, but you are in luck cause I'm headed to Sun Valley this weekend and will probably take the YLES out for a bit. So If you haven't bought by Saturday, I'll come back here and write a little review

Haha shaky gif and I usually shred pebble creek but they haven't been getting a lot of snow and the forecast isn't looking great so maybe we'll be up at sv until it opens for good!

I've had yles since 2012, really fun skis. A lot of pow skis claim to feel just like a big park ski but yles really and truly do. They're stable as anything on hard pack and hold a great edge, but don't have tons of sidecut so don't be expecting to railing slalom turns. I would definitely take them into the park and on rails more often if they weren't my pow-specific ski. In pow you have a bit more tail to deal with with the symmetrical shape but they float super well and have a wicked low swing weight for doing mad trixx. I definitely recommend them, would be a super fun every day ski if you live out west.

Yeah they are really good on groomers. they carve super well. 187 might be a little big consider how much you weigh but with how tall you are 177 would be a little short probably so I would probably go 187

sorry last question

size wise should i for sure go 187?

or should i go 177?

Well do you want it to be playful? The 177 is of course more playful but it's up to you. The 187 will handle the pow better. I'm about 5'7.5 and I went 177. I'm also about 130 pounds haha.

187 no doubt I ride 187 and I'm 6'2 but I would really only recommend the 177 if you were like 5'9 or shorter
