Looking to pick up some yles but don't know what length to get. I skied on 177 ace of spades for park and 179 obsetheds for pow last season. I'm told the obsetheds actually measure about 181. I will be skiing either 177 clicks or 181 switchblades for park this season and the YLE will basically be my pow ski. 177 seems short and 187 seems long but have not skied either ski. Leaning toward 187. Thanks for any help, also if you have skied the yle please mention that

How tall are you? I'm just about 6'0 and I have skied the 187 YLE the past two seasons. I find the ski nearly perfect for my height. Great control on anything steep, nice swing weight, and just an all-around good ski for pow. Nearly center-mounted.

I have the 181 switchblade as well. Even though I've only skied one day on em so far, they skied great switch and performed really well. I've never owned a pair of park skis before, but from what I can tell, they seem to be ideal for my height.

Also, Wiley Miller gives a report on the YLE himself, which is really helpful: http://yleski.com/page/9/

Your size, where you are skiing, and how hard you are charging would help us out a lot in informing your decision! I've been on the 87 YLE for the last 2 seasons, stoked to help out if you could get us more info.

Sorry I left that out. I'm 5' 11'' about 150-155. I live in Breckenridge, so summit county. Not looking to use this ski in the park, but will be throwin tricks but off of rocks and pow jumps and skiing steeps. Basically running a two ski quiver, a pow ski and a park/ no new snow ski.

i would say go 187. If you are having a pow specific ski, and you are that size, no reason to go with the shorter version. Works really well as an all mountain ski as well. Fun everyday! Suprisingly playful/nimble for a ski that large.
