4frnt & Vist

These two binings look the same but do they act the same way? Are these companies starting a Look/Rossi thing?

They're rebranded. Do a search on here for "4frnt binding" and you'll find a lot more information on them. Jibij has them on preorder now for $395.00 USD.

EEEWWWW 400$ for a pair of bindings. thats absurd.

Dude, putting different stickers on a binding is bloody expensive!

yes very lame of 4frnt

"how, u should have it, no-one else is holds it for ya"-jamie

wow. haha. those are some great fucking pictures in the menu.

in 4frnt's defense, they have made a few modifications to the binding, but nothing to make it super special. it's still a lame attempt overall. and their price points are awful for skis and bindings.

ha those look identical

iing is like sex. its hard and fun and you keep getting better at it.

Actually, the 8-16 is $450.00 US, but I figured no one would really care, because who needs that DIN range anyway. the $395.00 is the 6-14 DIN, and the Deadbolt 412 is listed at $349.00 US. I guess everyone can decide for themselves if that's a good deal or whatever... I assume those are MSRP though. Not market price. I HOPE so, anyway.

they will be cheaper than that. those are msrp prices. they will sell for cheaper than that. i have the price sheet in front of me. also, everyone that thinks they only have new stickers needs to research before they talk.

there are several changes.

a way stronger beefed up forward pressure plate, (very important)

new material on the toe wings, (same as the p18's) these will be much stronger.

and a new afd pad, without screws going threw the top, they are wider than all the original vist pieces, to provide a better contact with the boot

^I was under the impression that every new feature on the deadbolts was also slated to be a new feature on this year's VIST bindings anyways? In other words they are the same as this year's VIST... Was that info wrong?

They aren't the same as the SynAxis (nordica). Those were put out in association with Marker. It was explained at some point in another thread.

I was under the impression that 4frnt was just the licensed Us dealer for VIST. $345 is expesive but not rediculous. S912's retail for $330

So the question I would like answered is whether a pair of Vist bindings retails for the same as a pair of 4frnt bindings.

geez... if these are 395... i can't imagine how much 4frnt would want with their name on the... i bet its more tho...

jd shut the fuck up. "who needs a din range like that anyways" obviously not a pussy fuck like yourself. look at any hardcore big mtn rider and even park rider. ill put money that most if not all are riding race stocks. normal bindings just dont do it for the experienced skier who pushs his skiing harder then his equipment can take. race stocks are the best bindings you can possibly buy hands down.

That's awesome that you guys have been able to spend so much time together the past few months, sharing what we all love - Skiing and newschoolers. - nut

Actually, better question, is everyone who uses bindings with, say, a 6-14 DIN range a pussy then? That's interesting. You're an idiot. 614 is good enough for at least 95% of people on here.

no i didnt call everyone esle a pussy, JUST YOU.

guys.... my din is on like 6......... and i consider myself an aggressive park skier. and sorry if i like to keep my legs and knees in tact... a din at 16 would destroy stuff.

You are officially the dumbass of the day... Let's set aside for the moment the fact that the DIN you ride at is determined primarily by your weight, and so it makes no sense whatsoever to try to make fun of people over it... You imply that I'm a "pussy" because I don't ride a 16 DIN binding (although my rock skis have old Rossi 180 pros on them, 8-18 DIN, so so much for that theory), but also say that the legions of people who ride a lower DIN aren't pussies? Do you even realize how far that falls from making anything that even vaguely resembles sense? You're a complete retard... and a heinously ugly one if your icon is a picture of you, by the way. Again, what DIN do you ride at, jackass?

By the way, aside from the DIN range, there's no difference between the Deadbolts, your application of the argument that "pros ride race stock" doesn't hold up either, since the best reason for using FKS as a freestyle binding is the bomber construction... But I doubt you care too much about that, given that it has something to do with the concept of "rational thinking".

ooooo owned, well now to the my part, 4frnt has pretty copied or rebranded bindings. Line on the other hand has developed a completely new concept for freestyle skiing. Line is also cheaper by 100 bucks from what i hear.

thats what she said

Chris

Have a JIBARITO!

yes...

and the line's are pieces of monkey shit

And yes us bigger guys ride the race stocks because they are more durable, not because the din goes up higher.

but the 4frnt bindings probably don't spontaneously combust...

ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

I don't ever plan on spending above $300 on a binder. My Look P12 Jib's work fine for me and I got them off season for $180.

"and then I found 5 bucks and got an HJ"
