4frnt to stop making park skis?

This is just a bold prediction with no evidence but I'm guessing 4frnt is going to stop making park skis altogether. It seems like all their park riders are leaving for other companies such as Cal Carson and David Wise isn't even using his own promodel anymore and instead using moments. Also they are getting rid of all the park skis for dirt cheap. Thoughts about this?

Well seeing as Moment is the one sponsoring David Wise, I would not expect him to still ski a 4Frnt ski.

Nobody left. 4Frnt stopped sponsoring them when Jlev bought the company.

Considering they haven't put out any form of new park ski, or even updated any model, for a number of years, I wouldn't be surprised to be honest, they clearly don't see it as an area to profit in...

Love my devastators. Huge fan of them...not many skis with similar stiffness / profile on the market super fun. Wouldn't be surprised over the next 2-4 years if 4frnt turns into line skis and starts putting out cheaper sub par skis outside of a few select pow skis

You might just be right but why would j lev do that? He already did that with line and now has a pretty park/freestyle oriented brand with J skis. I'd like to see 4frnt go towards superlight touring and big mountain more, seems like a better niche for them. But what do I know haha

haha yea totally agree. Would love to see them develop a ridiculous free ride lineup. Think they cater to that market much more so than the park scene.

Both The Powell Movement and The Low Pressure Podcast have done interviews with JLev and Matt Sterbenz which talk in part about 4FRNT. Given them a listen and all your questions should be answered.

Just listened to the Powell interview with David Wise. It sounds like 4frnt is leaving the park scene. Tbh, I’m a bit bummed. I love the innovation and hopefully the financial backing JLev will bring but I’m a bit disheartened to see a brand that rose with park skiing now catering to the back country. Maybe I’m just jealous because I know the back country is something I know I’m not going to be seeing often in my life and the park was right there any time I had the kahonas. 😔. RIP switchblades.

I just don't view 4frnt the same since they just started like weekly blowout sales online, it's just cheap ass line skis now in my mind.

"The company is trying to make good skis more affordable. Must not be core!!"

It's a smart business model and 4frnt is owned by one of the pioneers of our industry. Why are you do jaded?

IMO it dilutes the image of the brand. I'd find it hard to get stoked on a set of skis if they are just selling them for peanuts, and it also gives the vibe that the skis are grossly overpriced to start with, if it's possible for them to offer some form of sale nearly all the time.

Everyone will say they don't, but we all buy our gear with some consideration of what other people think. We all know people are going to compliment a set of on3ps wayy more than a set of 4frnts, if they have any form of idea about the way they sell their skis.

Then again, there's always person B, who would say something along the lines of "yeah it's so sick how they offer such good skis for the price they do". I'm person A, though.

Kinda a shame, my first set of twins were switchblades, rip to a g ski.

Realized my post sounded pretty jaded.

Imo if they're quality skis price shouldn't be taken into to much consideration. I know inexpensive and crappy usually correlate, but I don't think making skis less expensive means they're shitty.

I don't see anyone saying this about surface and all of their skis are at the same price point I believe.

I got Devastors for cheap and I love them. I've owned moment skis and I loved those too. But I think they were just as good as my 400$ devastators.
