4frnt InThayne as an all mountain ski?

yo yo yo what are your thoughts on the InThayne as an all mountain ski (mostly soft snow). I'd expect this year's to do pretty well.

Looks pretty big for all the time but I bet it's super fun. I road YLEs all the time for a couple seasons and it was manageable but those have camber too so that helped to bite in the ice. Seems like a sick quiver ski for those deeper days.

I hope so! I just copped a pair of the 2019 181. Excited but nervous. Last years model's dimensions didnt appeal to me, but the slimmer waist and reduced turning radius should make the ski a little more versatile? I havent ridden 4frnts in years. They will be replacing my candide 4.0s as inbounds destroyers. I love the 4.0s, but the Candides need wide open spaces so I am gonna put a touring rig on them. I am really hoping the Inthayne will be a little more forgiving in all conditions. anything reefy or mogully was rough on the candides. Anyways sorry for the tangent. I am hoping the thayne will be my go to daily noodler. I guess we will have to find out in november when they ship. the suspense is killing me already and I just ordered them.

Dude get some! They are super fun in soft snow and very manageable in crap. Winter has been pretty bleak here so I have been even shralping these on groomers and they rip. I loved my candide 4.0s but they were not as fun as the inthaynes at slower speeds and in tighter stuff. Flat camber is so great for scrubbing speed after drops. Would def recommend.

Damn that sounds amazing. They look like a super fun ski on paper, glad to hear that they perform well, even in variable snow

I am curious, where do you ski? Do you think these could be a daily driver on the east or no

I ski in Montana mostly. This ski would prob be a bit much for the east coast as a daily driver. Def doable but there are a lot better options out there. For example I have been touring a bunch on the benchetler 100 and think that ski would be the perfect east coast do everything ski.

Most wider skis will do just fine all mtn. I used to ride 118 underfoot 28m radius everyday. And am currently Riding 113 underfoot 25m for everything but rails. I just like the extra support of a wider ski, but you do sacrifice a bit of manuverability in tight spaces along with extra weight.

Inthayne seems to be a wider version of the devastator.

I’m glad those who have ridden them like them.
