4frnt Devastator 20/21

I have a stiffer ski thread going and one of the skis that was mentioned and that was already on my list was the 4frnt Devastator 20/21. Does anyone one the forum want to shear their experience with the? How do they perform in rough conditions? On hard pack. And in thight places.

As mentioned in the other thread I am looking for a stiffer but playfull ski that works better than my Line SFBs at higher speed and in less ideal conditions.

The redesign for this season (20/21) was to keep the DNA of the ski but increase its performance in crappy conditions, bumped up conditions, and variable snow. Our new multi radius Reflect Tech™ gives you rad pow float and a surfy feel for slashing turns and adjusting your line in techy terrain. It also gives you a stronger grip on edge, so when you roll the ski over the sidecut geometry and pre-bent rocker shape work in unison to carve turns just like a cambered ski.

Thanks for your reply! Hoping for someone on the forum shearing their views also.

I've spent a good portion of the season on them, definitely a fun ski.

On groomers, they absolutely rip, super stable at high speeds, great edge hold. Probably the best full-rocker ski I've tried for groomers. Really similar to the Moment Meridian imho.

I'm not a huge fan of them in tight terrain, they just need a bit of space to really ski them to their fullest.

Theyre a little light for super rough conditions, but they manage as long as the snow is still somewhat soft.

Overall, I'm not a huge fan (I'm pretty light so I go for softer skis usually), but they would definitely compliment SFBs nicely.

Hi! Thanks for you honest opinion! That gave me some answers I was looking for. Just curious, whats your hight and weight, and how long are your Devs?

I haven't ridden the 20/21 model, but i have an og pair of devs that i've ridden for about 7 seasons so i'll share what i think about them for what it's worth.

No doubt, the devastators are my all time favorite ski. They kill it in every condition. The reverse camber allows you to swing em sideways and slash no matter how fast you're going. They have a relatively big but not huge turning radius so I find that they can charge and straight-line when I want but also are super maneuverable through the trees and tight spaces. They are on the stiffer end but surprisingly poppy and fun. My pair when I first got them they railed groomers but now they're a bit tricky because i'm down to 1/4 edges. With all 4 edges though they rail groomers, no problems there. I could not recommend this ski more, i'll prolly get another pair one of these days

again, i've never skied the 20/21 but i have a buddy who has them and he loves them. and the ski largely is the same now as it was when i first bought it. Probably just better.

Hi, thanks a lot for your insights on the Devs! I think I just might have to get them and try out for myself.

What’s up with only having a 186cm tho? Any plans ins the future to add a 190+ option?

I hear ya! in the past we only sold about 8-10 of the 190+ skis. so this season we decided to switch that shorter 184cm to a 186cm and hope that would help accommodate those bigger shredders. With minimum order from factories being about 20-25 pair it simply didn't make sense to make them to only sell 10!
