"Last we checked in on the ridiculously organized trolling activities at 4Chan they were naming Mountain Dew’s new flavor, “Diabeetus.” Not to be outdone by those efforts, the anonymous sun-deprived masses — with the help of some Reddit admirers — are currently in the midst of hijacking a promotion from Chegg and Papa John’s to send Taylor Swift to a winning school for an intimate storyteller session.

The school currently in the lead? You guessed it: The Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Allston, Massachusetts.

The shenanigans work like this: visit the site, like Taylor Swift on Facebook (no one said there wouldn’t be sacrifices!), and search for “Horace Mann School for the Deaf.” Above is the most recent voting screengrab. Needless to say the H-Manners have built up quite the lead.

The top five vote-getting schools each receive a $10,000 grant for their music department, so there’s that. If you’ll excuse me I need to work through some complicated feelings as to whether I despise these people or respect the sh*t out of them.

well at least each of the top schools also gets a 10k grant. And that the school isn't somewhere in north korea, somalia, etc (see previous contest sways by 4chan for jbiebs and jonas brothers concerts)
 
4chan is great. I saw the original post on /b/ yesterday and had to post the current results today. I love their contest sways, the mtn dew one is hilarious. I hear they don't actually have to go to the highest rated school though, which is dumb.
 
I don't know if that school for the deaf was one of the actual schools on the list, or one added 4chan. if it was one of the schools already on the list, they should go, but if 4chan put it there then... i'm not as mad. but you're right
 
one of the interesting rules:

LEVELING OF VOTES: To create a more level playing field among small and large schools, each school's votes will be divided by a number that is based upon enrollment numbers available to Chegg. Using the enrollment numbers that Chegg has collected, Chegg will round that number up or down to the nearest thousand, with all enrollment numbers less than 1,000 rounded up to 1. For example, a school with an enrollment number of 5,875 will have their total points divided by 6, and a school with an enrollment number of 1,500 will have their total points divided by 2 (midpoint rounded up), and a school with an enrollment of 400 will have their total points divided by 1. All participants recognize and agree that the enrollment numbers used by Chegg for some or all schools may be inaccurate, and that this process may not result in a precise adjustment. Chegg may, in its discretion at any time prior to announcing the winner, update or adjust enrollment numbers at some schools to reflect information that in Chegg's sole discretion it believes to be more accurate information. Despite the imprecise or potentially inaccurate method of measurement, all participants agree to be bound by Chegg's decisions on the method of vote calculation and adjustment and by these Official Rules. The final decision on any enrollment numbers, division or method of calculation rests entirely in the discretion of Chegg, Inc. and is not appealable.

Also, its not like all those kids are 100% def. Theyre gonna love the concert, and the grant will be great for their school. And if she chooses not to go, shes a heartless bitch who hates deaf kids.
