4bi9 Killed it. (Slight spoiler maybe? Just a summary)

I have commented in a few threads on 4bi9's new movie "Begging for Change" but this movie deserves a thread to its self that isn't just asking about digital downloads.

Over the last few years I really haven't been thrilled with 4bi9 movies, I thought they were solid but nothing memorable, they were starting to get away from their really Hood "Look it up" days. In the days before the SLC premier I had heard they were going back to their roots a little bit in their up coming movie, this got my hopes up but I refused to let my expectations get too high and be disappointed.

Begging for Change blew my expectations out of the water, it has the feel of all of their old stuff from when Steve and Tom first started riding on them, with one major difference, Cinematography. Where as in the past they always had great riding the filming was always meh or for you sticklers really rather lacking. This movie every shot was well thought out and well done and added to the tricks and overall feel of the movie, and I have always liked their editing with no exceptions this year.

As always the riding was top notch, Stand out segments were Mcchesney as expected, Nicky Keefer absolutely killed it, and more great riding from Wallisch. Other stand outs off the top of my head were Collin Collins and John Ware. Though these are the standouts, almost every segment was sick. My only gripe was the friends segment, I am never big on random riders I haven't heard of but Nick Mcnutt killed it. I had never heard of him but he was a bright spot in the friends segment. Another disappointing aspect for me was the Steve was hurt, though his two shots made up for it a little bit and that is obviously out of their control.

Though I went into the night waiting anxiously for After Dark I left with a GREAT taste in my mouth from Begging for Change.

Spark Notes - BUY BEGGING FOR CHANGE

That rail wallisch hits = Amazing.

Such an awesome movie with an awesome crowd. Everybody had amazing shots. McChesney and Dale had stand out parts I think. Amazing skiing from everybody. Well done, 4bi9.

So sick. Walked out of there, and realized the city is a whole new playground.

So much epic urban.

I'll second that. Went in more anticipating Level 1 but left wanting to buy Beggin for Change. Don't get me wrong Level 1 was legit, but the crowd was going nuts for 4bi9 from start to finish.

not one song that I didnt like mccehsney's segment took a steamy shit on ahmets there whole movie was insane noooo boring segments easily the best movie of the season

Like OP said "BUY BEGGING FOR CHANGE," it was incredible. The soundtrack this year coupled with the skiing really brought me back to the old days of 4bi9. I can see people hating on the vibe because haters will hate but in all reality it was next level. It seemed like instead of going out and really trying to just concentrate solely on the filming and making a great movie, which they accomplished anyways, it was a bunch of friends going out and having fun, pushing each other to hit bigger and better features. McChester's closer coupled with Wyble's opener started and ended the movie on a high note that hooked your interest and left you wanting more. The urban this year was spot on, some of the sites were repeats from other 4bi9 and Level 1 movies but with newer style and tricks. Even though Nicky and Ferguson only had small parts they killed it HARD in the park, stomping tricks i could hardly even comprehend and obviously, like every year, Tom had a banger segment that fit in perfectly with the rest of the movie. Plus his all four rail mastery was reminiscent of Slamina days. Not to mention the down C down was mind blowing and the crash reel accompaniment really highlighted what a RIDICULOUS shot it was.

If you buy any movie this year please make it 4bi9, they obviously don't have the same type of funding as Level 1 but their movie was just as impressive even though it wasn't at the same level of production. With what they have Begging for Change was the most impressive ski movie to date and will surely become my new favorite. Support the homies. Buy it
