48÷2(9+3) = ??

the question is a fail. you either ask. fuck this ambiguous confusing ass shit.
48--------2(9+3)
OR
48--- (9+3) 2
cause then people know what the fuck is up
dont quote me, cause that shit's just going to come out all a mess

okay, I'm so certain of this now that it really needs to be at the top of a new page, bolded:

48÷2(12)

now, separate each individual part into brackets

(48)(÷2)(12)

now, this is the important part: a way of looking at any (÷x) is to multiply by it's inverse, hence (1/x)

so

(48)(1/2)(12)

288!

Anathema:
to break it down into the first one you must add the parenthesis, MUST.
yeah I just quoted myself, what up.

Due to order of operations, it would not matter if you put the (9+3) in front of 48/2, right?

So 48/2(9+3)=(9+3)48/2 if I'm not mistaken

And (9+3)48/2=288 with out dispute so therefore it has to be 288

no man, that's wrong. I wasn't looking at it right. that's completely wrong.

people stop quoting is so I stop looking like a tard ;)

for the third and final time, this:

48÷2(12)

now, separate each individual part into brackets

(48)(÷2)(12)

now, this is the important part: a way of looking at any (÷x) is to multiply by it's inverse, hence (1/x)

so

(48)(1/2)(12)

288!

Lol calm down, accidentaly triple clicked it. Haha.

But I think that it is a poorly written equation.

fuck looked at it again, im wrong
question is 48 ÷ 2(9+3)
1. sub in x for 9+3, i.e. x = (9+3)2. you know have 48 ÷ 2x3. also could be in fractional form, 48/2x, or (48/2)x4. reduced down to 24x5. sub (9+3) back in for x : 24(9+3)6. you then have 24(12) = 288
hooray for mathz ! !

first to prove this wrong gets a lollipop: (it should be quite obvious):

13024934331302455747488.gif

and can anyone find the correct value of the variable?

13024935161298827392261.jpg

and for the 64 65 thing, the slopes don't match up. there is a very small gap that over the entire length integrates to 1 which is the difference

lollipop please

well done. orange, green, yellow, red, or purple? Like the sig btw

and the one for solving for x, as in the length of the box. and the circles are all identical, it is a perfect square, etc etc. lines may not line up and it may not be to size.

whoever says that the answer is 2 is dumb as fuck. Seriously type it into a calculator or wolfram alpha or fucking google for gods sake and you get 288... people these days are fucking dumb

a is distance between corner or the square and theextrimity of the circle in this corner. and sqrt(x)=x^1/2

(r+a)^2=r^2+r^2

r+a=sqrt(2)*r

a=(sqrt(2)-1)*r

x^2+x^2=(6r+2a)^2

2*(x^2)=(6r+2((sqrt(2)-1)*r))^2=((2*(sqrt(2))+4)*r)^2

x=((2*(sqrt(2))+4)*r)/sqrt(2)=(2+2*sqrt(2))*r=4,8284*r

In this case r=6,5cm so x=31,3848cm

why the fuck are we doing 8th grade level math on NS?

48/2x12 you go left to right from here

48/2=24

24x12=288

the answer is 288

(yes im fully aware that i am not the first person to describe this but i felt like i needed to)
