damn people like that piss me off.

thats a huge bitch. and her fat ass fucks other people over.

"she was not allowed on the flight when she didn't fit in a three-seat gap,"

as someone who fly's frequently, this really pisses me off. its unbelievable.

HAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

As for KLM, spokeswoman Ellen van Ginkel tells Radar Online: "It appeared on the passenger's return that it was not physically possible for her to board the aircraft, despite every effort made by KLM to this end. A seat or belt extender did not offer a solution, either."

god I hope the husband doesnt get a cent from his lawsuit.

A fucking airline can deny service to whomever they please. this is like sueing disney world for not letting your child who doesnt meet the hieght requirement to go on a ride.

whats really fucked up though, is that if she was that big, who do you think was feeding her?

that husband is looking for someone else to blame because he's slowly killing his fatass wife

Ugh, imagine being stuck next to her in an aisle seat. Holy fuck I'd be so mad. If you ask me, once someone goes into "morbidly, disgustingly, mind-blowingly obese" they should pay for half the ticket of the person on either side of them too for putting up with their B.O. and that noise that sounds like they're choking when they're just breathing.

that's a bitch for everyone... mostly vilma.

airlines should set some weight restrictions in advance then, like they she purchased 4 tickets and then finally once on board was told to get off. they should fix their guidelines so they don't have to deal with this shit right before take off and inconvenience everyone.

Surely to god there are decent doctors in Hungary, why the hell didn't they send her to get her treatment there while they waited for the flight?

ugh. He says the airline didn't want to be "inconvenienced"...? Not true. The seatbelt extender wasn't big enough. If you can't wear a seat belt they're not flying your liability ass. Second, the wheel chairs they had were plastic and would break under her weight, so they couldn't roll her down the tunnel to get on the plane.

If you're that large, you should be traveling with your own personal wheelchair, seatbelt extender, and whatever medication you need-- people need to take responsibility for their own self. Why didn't she go to a hospital over there for treatment? Something tells me the reason she died isn't from her lack of treatment, it's from her life-threatening diseases.

Everyone is always looking for someone to blame. Vilma is to blame for her own death. Why would an airline want to run the risk of being sued, when there is an emergency landing and they can't get her safely off the aircraft? Or if there is turbulence and she gets injured from not having a seatbelt. The airline was just doing their job and minimizing liability-- sued anyway though.

And this is why I hate fat people (this and a whole lot more). The husband won´t get a cent from the lawsuit thouh, not in an European court

Because the lack of treatment availability is the only thing they're basing their lawsuit on-- it's just an excuse.

Yap. Neither in the Netherlands nor in Germany. This fuckhead doesn't have the slightest chance.

God I hate fat people. According to the report she flew there to get treatment because of her diabetes. Hard to figure out where that came from....

I would have loved to be the captain who told the fatty to get the fuck off the plane.

how could a person with such a disease not plan a trip more accordingly?

yo bitches im sick but im not gonna make a contingency plan at all because...yes.

How does anyone even get this big? It boggles my fucking mind. Shouldn't there be a point when you say to yourself, "Gee, maybe I should stop shoveling food into my face?"

Not if you're too busy shoveling food in, no.

Oh and I find it disgusting how fat this fucker was, and even more disgusting how her fat husband is trying to get money for their dual fattyness & complications caused due to fattyfat.

I think the article left out the fact that she already had to have a leg amputated from diabetes.

wow you guys are unacceptable and not understanding at all. yeah okay a sick fat woman died, let's all get mad at her? you guys are lazy by shitting on her like the world wants you to instead of thinking critically about support systems that could help her and the things that can lead a person to become like that.

you don't call people with alcoholism a piece of shit/fucker and blame them when they die... clearly this is a problem with a lot of similarities in terms of dependence and lack of support. fat people aren't people to get pissed off at, they are people to help. also we need to be critical of the fact that you can weigh a certain amount (under this person though) and still be healthy while not be as skinny as the average person.

yes you do. alcoholism is just an excuse for weak minded people, sure you can get physically addicted, but you mentally have to overcome that, people do it all the time, maybe calling them a piece of shit isn't the proper approach, but how else are you gonna make them realize they're a piece of shit?

this is only a problem in America, last time I checked there isn't a world wide fucking pandemic of MORBIDLY obese people rolling around, its only in the good ol' US of A. this lady was clearly past the point of being helped, I'm guessing she lost her leg due to lack of circulation and I bet if she still had that fat meat attached to her that shed be pushing 500 lbs. I can understand how people start to get overweight but the husband was clearly feeding her and only contributing to a more slow painful death if she had even gotten the medical attention she needed.

i dont think its an inconvenience to not accept a woman on the plane who cant fit into 2 fucking outstretched seatbelts with a seatbelt extender.

I find what you said about alcoholism really offensive. I have a really good friend who was alcoholic and it took her a year of very hard work to come out of it, and she recently just relapsed. I suppose we can just blame mental illness on weak minded people. Suicide on 'weak' people. Mental disorders, down syndrome on 'weak' people. It's not as easy as 'mentally' over coming that. If it was that easy, they would do it. What's lazy is to cast these people out of society and look down on them instead of supporting them and helping them, and just saying they should 'get over it' is the easy way out.

sure it's a problem in the developed world, but you have to understand that people are products of their environment. maybe we need to blame the systems that causes more people in these areas to become like this instead of the people themselves, to create change. or, if we aren't serious about change, we can just keep shitting on these people and thinking that we're better and make excuses for how it would never happen to us when in reality it could.

I don't care if she was an olympic athlete, the airline is not legally obligated to sell you a seat. End of story.

as i scrolled farther and farther down this thread i was hopeful i would get to the bottom without seeing a shit storm

thanks for killing my dreams ns

all you guys are saying "oh you shouldn't hate"

And I agree that calling her a fat fuck is over the top

But with getting fat (or drinking alcohol for that matter) you have to be honest with yourself and turn your life around its noones fault but her own and the airline was completley in the right

sorry if you didn't understand my metaphor trying to illustrate that drawing the line of blame is hard because people are always influenced by their environments that they have no control over.

but you're right, if you can't understand it, it's probably stupid bullshit anyways

It's not always as easy as saying "I'm going to give up alcoholism." The people who are affected by it are dependent on it and it is what they perceive to be a way out. Until they can see how they're affecting their loved ones is only when they realize that it's hurting more than helping. That goes the same way as excessive overeating.

I'm sorry my opinion offends you, and I am not trying to be insensitive to your situation, my whole family would def be considered "alcoholics" but your friend did it once she should be able to do it again. I agree with you somewhat on people being a product of their environment, I'm sure your friend was in the exact wrong environment when she relapsed. As for suicide I don't know how that connects with this at all, and down syndrome is a legitimate genetic disorder. In this situation you have to draw the line at some point, for god sakes this woman needed an airlift to put her on the plane. how would you suggest changing for this person? having seats for the obese? requiring everyone to use an airlift to get onto the plane? maybe I am being close-minded but I personally cannot think of any reasonable accommodation that would have helped this woman fit on an airplane
