ive been wanting to do a 4 on backslide disaster on this flat down rail at big boulder and was wondering if anyone can help me with my problem. I get the for on well but when i go for the backslide my ski always slides forward and i land on my back if anyone has experienced this or can help me out let me know for the next season on how to fix my balance

I assume you can 4 on pretty confidently, so just keep doing four ons and barely raise your front foot the first few times, not enough to push your weight back and keep feeling it out.

Shin pressure on takeoff keeps you more balanced in the spin.

I think it's hilarious you're asking NS for advice on a 450 disaster backslide. Most people here wouldn't ever be able to do that, I might have done it by accident overshooting a rail a little and just tapping one foot but honestly that doesn't count. When you get comfortable with it please try landing as close to the start of the down so it's a legit backslide, I hate seeing these wack jump tricks onto rails that are just taps. If it's a rail trick you gotta slide the rail, otherwise it's cheating.

no yea a tap dosnt count in my eyes either it has to be a slide i usually land halfway down the down and the down is about 15 feet so im sliding for most of my trick just got learn the timing and when to lift my foot up

True factual this is a gnar trick and most NS peeps couldn't dream of doing that
