4 off up rail...

Hey NS community! I am currently working on 450s off of rails. Though I can get usually get the spin around on a flat rail, whenever I spin out of a cannon, when I attempt to land on a downward slope I tend to either get off axis and land on my side, or land very backseat. Tips are much appreciated!

Oh man I had a hard time learning these and I think I had the same problem you did. The number one advice I can give you is to NOT look at the end of the rail as you set your spin. Wind up on the rail - almost as if you are hugging a barrel - and have your front edge set. From there pop and keep your head looking over your shoulder, not at the ground. I posted a thread asking for help last year and there is some good advice on that one.

I would say the best place to try them would be a flat tube that has a decent sized drop, but if the up rail works go for it

backseat spins on relatively small stuff usually happen cause youre trying to rush the spin adding a little bit at the end

the motto for front 4s for me is "set it and forget it." it's not a front 2 plus 180, it's a front 4

keep your weight forward but pop and set the spin and don't even think about looking at the landing at 270*
