GoPro's got a 3D set up that's to helmet cams in one case and synced together.I can't think of a better us of 3D, personally...

They hard a 3D television there with some rally car footage on it. it was pretty sick. The stuff in the foreground pops out way more than the stuff further away (obviously), but if there's anything that would look sick in 3D, it's helmet camera footage. Tree skiing and coulairs might look sicker than double corks.

that's what NS member Matrich had as a design, dunno if he cooperated in any way with the development of this, his footage....
also NS member "Abek" shot a 3d Gopro edit ....

Do you think 3d is really going to take off? I think maybe for video games it will, but I don't know about TV and movies. I feel like it wouldnt really add that much to a ski movie

i hope you actually know how to spell dollars.

and personally i think 3d shit's dumb and ruins the quality, i prefer 2d

I think it would be cool to see once, but it would just get old after a while. If 3d progressed a ton and they had screens that wrapped around you and made it feel like you were sitting in the movie then it would be sweet. but just seeing some snow fly at you once in a while doesnt seem that important to me

i went to some museum that had that. it was like 180 feet across dome on its side. they gave us glasses and we saw a movie it was so sick

imax is what those are called, at least around here. and to the person up above, yes i do know how to spell dollars.

Your high! It's the future, it's obvious. As soon as you see the summer X footage in 3D they are releasing it will all become clear. It's not easy enough yet, but it is literally just around the corner.

960 for 180? that could be so sick! Also 3d could be cool but i dont see it takin off especially if it takes glasses

Yea, like those will really be released in Decemeber. The firmware update was supposed to be released in March, its still not available. I still can't film in 60fps and I have the recommended memory card.

just remembered this the other day gettin high after shredding dirt and wanted to review footy in the rig. I budgeted for this way long ago.

if you do infact have the recommended sd card and it doesn't work, contact support - they will get you setup right away. Also firmware takes a long time - lots of bugs to work out/testing to make sure every mode works on every level for every camera and the image quality still holds up to the standard. It took Canon over a year to make the firmware upgrade for teh 5d mark ii to add 25 fps, 29.97 for 1080, etc..Canon!

damm! they ow me money for this concept! just kidding thats sick. I made a 3D edit this winter and won a camera from them by proposing the idea. maybee they were inspired... I probably wasnt the first to talk to them about it but its still pretty cool to see that they thought it was a good idea.

heres the video, we were only allowed to film during two days so its not flawless but its still pretty cool.

sorry im not to good with specs on cameras but, Would a 980 gopro upload 720p h.d. videos to say youtube?

it could also upload 980p hd to though?

i have this cheap camera that claims to be 720p but it uploads as 480/360 so i didnt know if that was a false claim by the camera company or what happens when you upload videos
