view counter only updates in increments of 20 views if I recall, until you get to a certain point
 
i think to count a view, a person has to watch it for some certain minimum time. if i see your post, immediately like it and immediately scroll away, i believe i have given you a like but no view

think of it like Hansel not listening to Sting's music, but totally respecting the fact that he's making it

So truthfully, the view counter is Cached and it basically does a guess when you look at it quickly. This is because the View counter crashed the site one year during X-games when Henrik did a super crazy trick and it got posted on Newschoolers.

I'm not sure what schedule it updates on but it is pretty quick usually. I can take a look to make sure nothing is off, but I presume it will all kind of sort itself out after an hour or two.

Interesting. I am almost certain this was when Henrik landed his first NB triple cork. I remember that night.
