hey i need help with 270 onto rail. i looked at other posts and they didnt fit wat i was trying to figure out. when i go for it i kinda just get the spin but i dont get my head around to look so i always slide off. also when i am going to get spin i always land on tails and slide off. i have tried coming in closer and further from rail.
o yah and i spin to the left.
help meeeeeeeeeeee

yo dog just keep doing them, be real patient, thats probably why youre sliding off to the side or landing on your tails. go to the box straight on, straddle it. it's not a hard trick and not really a whole lot of spin. use your hips more than anything to initiate the trick, your head should come around as one unit with your hips and torso.

yeah use your hips mainly, arms can throw you off quite a bit. make sure your hips really push that spin around but have the rest of your body move all at once.

so like what do just go into the rail with knees bent in like popable position... then to stay in middle of rail do i go at it like i were gonna straddle it? then pop and use my hips to spin cuz when i use hips/legs i land with my legs to close together.

see the thing is if its a good tranny you don't really have to pop that much but you still wanna do it before you spin. try to pop with your legs a little wider so that when you pop with your legs and spin with your hips you can land nice and wide and solid on the box. it takes a couple days to get it perfect but i think you got it just focus on landing with a bit wider stance and just keep doing it you'll get more and more comfortable doing it.

make sure you huck it on with your hips and try to center out our shoulders when you get back on the rail, i have the same problems as you though it just takes practice

New Question:How do you keep yourself aligned on the rail after 270 on, sometimes i slip out to side even when i am straight with the box/rail before pop.

try doing a 180 first , spot the rail and give an extra 90 to your lower body. keep looking up the rail .the reason why you guys are sliding of the rail is cause first you are giving your self too hard of a spin for the 270 on and you are not patient enough and want to see the end of the rail too soon. and thats normal cause its a scary trick at first. just try to be more and more patient and you will feel the trick coming .

what about a 270 onto an up box/rail? I kept trying 270 onto an a frame and as soon as I got to the apex I would slide off to the left (spin 270 to the left). I tried going more to the right but it still happened. Any tips? Or is it the same a a regular box/ rail. I know patience is key. The up rail at my mountain was only like 6 feet long and about 2 feet high at the end so I feel like it would be good to learn on.

u minght be doing what i used to do

rotateing on the jump beofr you pop because you want to get round faster

so pop first , and i know its easier siad that done

the way i did it was found a realy low rail and poped and only started my spin when i felt my self coming down

it fixed it for me :)
