270 on

so today i tried to do some 270's on. I got the rotation most of my tries but whenever i hit the box i would fall back and land on the box. My feet keep sliding out from underneath me and ripped my ass hole open. not really but sure as hell felt like it. just tell me how to keep myself from falling back when trying it. i kept trying going through some pain and didnt get it and felt really frustrated. also how can i get the rotation faster so it gives me more time to set up for landing. +k for helps

You simply aren't balanced. Leaning too far back. Practice sliding the box with the foot that is leading when you land on the box for the 270. So if you normally slide right foot forward and you spin left and land on the box with your left foot forward, it feels awkward. So then you would practice sliding with your left foot forward. For me, it was weird at first to try hopping onto a box or rail with my unnatural foot forward while hitting the rail forward, but it was easier to hit a rail or box with my unnatural foot if I hopped on switch.
But when it comes down to it... practice practice practice.

hey man if you keep getting hurt doing something, maybe you shouldn't keep doing it. you don't want to be shitting sideways by the age of 40, do you?

did your father ever tell you the sayingno pain no gain. how do you thing pros got to where there are today. not saying im going pro but to get somewhat good you got to try and keep trying.

are you discouraging progression in skiing?? not cool firecrotch

try popping more. when I first learned 270s I was throwing the spin real hard and my weight went all wonky. when approaching the box/rail, try using your arms more to pop you high up, spin 180, then just bring the last 90 as you come down. this way helps me keep the rotation and be balanced. practice makes perfect though, just keep doing em.

i can already 270 onto flat and up boxes that are straight on. but i want to get a down box that you can only get onto from the side. im trying to get that so i can try to get 270's onto down rails and flat rails.

also dont talk. your a posser. best trick is a dub rodeo 10. nobody from snoqualmie can do that shit and you know that.

Here, we see the clasic "redeem myslef after saying something really douchey but saying something ironic and slightly hypocritcal" move. I like it.

try to widen your stance when you get on and commit and right when you hit the box, pretzel a little to stop your momentum.

Onto down rails and boxes, land with your weight evenly on both feet, the put just a little more onto your front leg. It sounds like when you land you land on your back foot or you're leaning back too much.

He has a point, you have over 1000 posts in 1 month. I swear every thread i click i see 10 posts from you and half of them are pointless. At least keep that in NSG.

if your consider that its main purpose was to make you understand that posting in every thread you see won't make you cooler, then yes it was useful.

same i wanna see you eat so much shit that everyone on the chair feels bad for you but everyone on newschoolers doesnt because you are a poser.
I get a PHD a poser hater degree

i actually just got these really well onto rails this past weekend. for me the key is commitment. one thing i do that helps me to not slip off is to look at the end of the rail rather than my feet as soon as i land on it.

i know it's normally tools who post word definitions on threads but...

Posser-A posser was historically a tool used for possing or mixing laundry while hand washing it.

I thought this was quite funny

you're easy... slut

but if your feet keep sliding out from under you try leaning more foreward when you spin maybe?

when you set the trick think about matching the angle of your shoulders to the angle of the rail. this will square the rest of your body up and keep you balanced. also square up your fingers to the searchbar next time.

hot slut.

o and all i can say is keep your feet wider and your weight forward while you hit the box
