Actually yeah its an interesting new tech, have a feeling it will change the ramp angle too much tho and be left for the rad-dads who dont want to use knee bindings. I cant say shit about tyrolias without that one guy with like 18 pairs of factions trying to prove me wrong

There’s a video on their channel where Yorgo explains the theory behind the design. I agree that it maybe needs a bit of a change but the reasoning behind it makes sense.

Hate that Candide loving loser that buys Attacks for $100, sets them up properly, never has issues with them and then sells them for profit on his old skis.

And don’t get me started how he constantly answers binding set up questions about Marker, Look, Salomon and Marker in threads or DMs often sent to him as he’d rather have a person safe in whatever binding they purchase rather than set them up improperly. Fuck that guy!

big dffierence tho. you buy and sell skis like theyre pokemon cards after a few days of usage, i use and abuse my shit 100+ days a season and set them up properly almost every time i go out. feel like im the one whos gauging the bindings reliability and durability better. but that's just my opinion.

greg barely has any skis, I'm insulted here.

I have skis lasting sevral hundred days, had skis that didnt even last a day, I even have unmounted skis.

I dont have any 2023 skis though. not 100% sold on a lot of the 2023 stuff, I'd like to demo the blade series though and new revolts.

the k2 topsheets are so awesome I wanna replace my reckoner 112 & 122 AGAIN for new topsheets, they should make stickers so we can upgrade :p

We put demo bindings on them at their recco mount points. Probably gonna fool around a bit with them and see how they ride with a more progressive boot Center. Definetly have high hopes for these rigs; still relatively soft even with the gas pedal metal.
 
Anyone else think it’s odd that TBL is getting a pro model boot? On the full tilt women’s team, Maggie Voisin or Mathilde Gremaud are far more accomplished competition wise and are just better overall skiers than her. Idk it’s just weird that you can go up to Brighton any day of the week and see some random nobody killing it harder than TBL, yet she gets a pro model boot

NGL, this might replace my current dad ski with metal next year. The original Prophet was my first ski when I came back from snowboarding, and I have good memories.

skiing is subjective as fuck, sure they might be doing dubs and other wild stunts but do they have the same impact as taylor? especially in womens skiing, taylor is one of the only ones with an actual defined and somewhat original style. same way that skate companies can sell more boards with aidan mackeys face on them (objectively mediocre skater with style) than someone like andy anderson whos 50x better at skating itself. taylor can reach the more core audience than someone like maggie voisin (had to google who she even was tbh). in the end its all about money, and taylor is way more relatable and present on social media and in the ski community(hell, even snowboarding since she was on the bombhole). i think it makes perfect sense that she would get a pro-model

I couldn’t agree more! Women and girls 1000% look up to TBL then any of those comp girls. Like everything TBL anyone can throw on skis and do like the comp scene is soo outta reach for most people but urban anyone can do!

The two women I listed have like 3x the following on IG though. They’re better known and more talented skiers. I get that TBL has a presence because she’s done some urban but just go watch her ski in real life. Sure she’s good at making money from her image but that doesn’t really excite me when it comes to watching her ski. Just my 2 cents, good for her for getting a bag though I guess

while more people in the world may know those two skiers simply because of comps and olympics, I would argue more people in the market to buy Full Tilt (k2 flex, i guess) boots know of TBL. They’re trying to reach a certain audience with a female pro model and the audience is likely way more into Taylor than the other girls you mentioned.

you are fully correct on the social media side. but how often do you see maggie voisin going on tell a friend tour and engaging with girl skiers in real life? you ever seen maggie hit a spot? compete in real ski? I think emmet from vishnu said it best that people are more likely to buy a product if they see someone they look up to locally or see someone sick using/wearing that product irl. I find that even though she has less skill or followers then someone like maggie, she could easily be relatable to a girl starting to ski park for the first time. and full tilt/k2 has recognized that, first boot someone usually buys for park is full tilts, why not represent females while ur at it? just my (objectively correct) 2 cents

also ps followers can be bought pretty easily, id argue that the people following tbl are more engaged than someone like maggie

I was about to say this. There’s a lot of other female pro skiers that are more deserving of a pro model.

also even though tbl has half the followers as maggie, doing a quick scroll thru it looks they get about the same metrics per post in terms of likes and views
 
And neither of those 2 ski for line like Taylor which probably added to the rationale for a pro boot.

I didn't know who TBL was until I watched her underwhelming real ski.. She does not scream pro athlete, which I guess would be what you all call "core"?

I can't believe you guys are dissing some women who absolutely throw down in comps. You like TBL because you're better than her, you hate the "comp jocks" because they are better than you.

"comp jocks" scream pro athlete in my opinion. Urban and rail skiers are offseason skateboarders - though Tom Wallisch is an exception I suppose. They don't actually live for skiing, they are just doing it until skating starts. Reason #1 why you'll never see them actually "skiing".

Yes, skiing is all about fun, if you ain't having it then stop doing it. I didn't mean to offend, I just think we gotta stop this "comp jock" bs. And saying that maggie is irrelevant is pretty misinformed, especially on a skiing website. Those girls stomp in the park and shred on the mountain. TBL is cool on rails and has a niche following, which is awesome. Just respect all of it

Have you considered the simple fact that Taylor (who is sick at what she does) is a Line/FT athlete, whereas Mathilde (who is also sick at what she does, and while being focus on comp is one of the most stylish girl on the circuit) is a Faction athlete and just happened to ride Full Tilt!?

Sammy C, B Dog and Henrik don’t ski for Line and have pro models. Wallisch got a pro model with FT way before he was ever on Line.

As far as people saying misogynistic shit, yeah it’s not a cool way to talk about this stuff. I just legitimately am surprised that she of all skiers got a pro model boot, but whatever good for her
