Is the new “bio resin” actually more durable or is it marketing ploy to charge more money for a ski that’s still made of paper mache?

I feel like it's too early to tell, once everyone starts skiing them this season I bet we will find out

I succumbed to the marketing and bought a pair this spring. Build quality is a solid B if former models were a D. They feel relatively sturdy when I hand-flex them in my living room lol.

I'll come back with a full report in December, but I'm sure that'll be too late for our eager park rats

I haven't gotten much time on em (demoed last season, got a free pair that I'm mounting up for this season) but overall they're pretty beefy, and the rip just about everything. Definitely a step up from the older ones.

Saw a guy at hood with 2024 chronics on and his heel piece ripped out of the ski on a landing. It could’ve been just a bad mounting job or worn screws but still thought that was interesting

Id do some dirty things for a well built affordable 185cm park ski

We had some line riders where i shaped this season. They had beaten them up, they said it was because they had been riding them hard, but i’m not sure. Probably better than what line have been, but unsure if they are very much better

They're substantially more durable than previous Chronics. There's almost double the amount of sidewall for sure. The tips and tails are quite thin though so if you to a lot of sniper taps I'd imagine you'd see what happened to that guys TC 94s. Stuff like that is terrible for your skis anyway

I was rockin the 101 chronics 186 length this past season. I didn’t have any problems with them stoked there getting a bit more durable! . I also was on the 95 chronics I chipped em up pretty bad and had a few edge cracks but still rideable skis.
