2021 Armada Whitewalker thoughts?

Looking for a new 182-188cm,110-120mm daily ski. They would mainly be used in place of my old Billy Goats and get mounted up with some shifts for random backcountry/sidecountry touring access.

I've read up on some reviews that they feel sorta damp and lifeless despite their weight and profile. I am looking for the ski to tackle steeps, chutes, cliffs, booters etc. but am worried that they may get bounced around a bit if the snow gets choppy. I loved the stability of the Billy Goats on everything I could throw at them; Stable at high speeds, easy edge to edge, solid tails for landing bigger drops, etc. I used to be active as shit in the ski community but after a couple years hiatus and new skis coming out left and right I dont know where to start anymore.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Whitewalker or similar skis to it?

I just got my whitewalkers! And I’m so damn hyped on them! I’ve owned the regular 116s and the ULs and the whitewalker is like the badass love child of those two skis. It’s the ski I’ve been most excited since I knew it was coming out!! It sounds like this ski is gonna fit the bills that you’re looking to fill. It’s what I’m using this ski for!

It's the greatest ski I've ever owned. It's a 116 underfoot weapon. It's my true daily driver I sold every other ski I owned and will only be riding these. Light, snappy, quick edge to edge, soft when you need them yet responsive and stable at the same time. Poppy off lips yet predictable. Absolute weapons.

It is the perfect ski I can't even believe it. Whoever wrote they are damp or whatever the fuck you said is an idiot pussy and probably rides rossignol soul 7's and has a five ski quiver up their ass. Fuck them. This is the only ski you will ever need.

What do you think about them after another year of use?

Hands down the best ski I’ve ever owned! If i had to own one ski for the rest of my life it would be the WW

I love my whitewalkers. They are the perfect balance between stiff enough to rip but light enough to pop whenever you want. I also like the pointy tail over the JJ they also track in pow with less resistance imo

How do they do on the groomers? shitty as all hell or are they at least tolerable to get back to the lift on?

I would be unhappy with their groomer performance if they were my only ski but they do great whenever it is remotely soft on the groomers especially sized up. They are far from shitty but you obviously have to adjust your carving style compared to a front side ski or something
