they are teasing photos gradually before releasing the full lineup. The full lineup will be on display, just not right away.

Hello,

Long time snowboarder here (easy on me, please), currently in my first season of skiing. I have to say it's going well so far and I'm serious about purchasing a pair of skis by the end of the season.

I'm leaning towards Kartel 108s, but am wondering if it'll be too much of a change for me coming from my rental skis; 163 with a 71 waist and fully cambered (think I can slide a finger or two under the ski at the apex of the camber). Not a whole lot of tail either from where the bindings are mounted.

I'm not sure what to expect with sizing, since I'll be jumping almost 3cm in width and about 30 in length, but I'm aware of the rocker at both ends. I'm wondering 186 or 191?

Me: 5'11" 190lbs., I can ride groomers just fine, still trying to learn riding off piste. I'm sure I need to get better, but I'm guessing the right tool for the job would also help. Trying to ride through some fresh and thick PNW pow was a struggle, not that I'm doubting you guys could probably manage on skis as short and narrow as mine.

Thanks for dealing with the noob post. The "you're a delirious noob, start with something else" comments are welcome as well.

No longer than 186. I'm only 2 inches shorter than you, and I'm on the 181. My K116's are 186 however.

Where are you skiing?

Yea I definitely get where youre coming from, I'll see how they do price wise in the coming months.

a lot of the skis for on3p are sold out so if you wait, there is a good chance there won't be the ski/size left you want.

Ya you should in my opinion get something not as beefy, because skis like those are gonna be lot harder to learn on for sure, and it won't be nearly as fun. Think about getting a less beefy ski that isn't maybe as chargy of a ski and I think you'd have more fun on it for the time being. In a couple years, then I'd go for these beauties though. ON3P is still not a bad option for a brand at all, and also 191 is for sure too long in my opinion.

On a related topic, anyone know when their gear from the previous season goes on sale? Guessing sometime between April and summer but didn't know if anyone had bought stuff on sale from them before. Definitely trying to get my hands on a pair of Kartel 98's, those bad boys look so fucking fun.

what size are you looking at? Given the limited inventory of that ski, I don't foresee it being put on sale.

Yup, only 2 left. And that is after doing a second production run on stuff they ran out of. I had to wait a few weeks to get a K108 after watching the last one literally get bought while I was making up my mind on wether to pul the trigger.
