Looks like they put a hole in them?!? that slit is has light coming through it or something. I know the base is still ther ebut weird. I think those bottoms are nice. Always liked a clean design and blends have always been pretty clean. Too bad blends arent on3p magnus or kartels

It's just a graphic element, nothing to do with the structure of the ski. Same perfect construction as the 16/17 blend

Will it matter when it comes off after the first day out?

The topsheets in my 2016's are flaking off after my first day out riding only groomers. I always read about them chipping off but with me not riding hard at all and having it happen so soon is pretty disappointing. Not performance changing of couse but still disappointing none the less.

I haven't. I doubt I will, to be honest. It seems like a bigger pain than it's worth at this point.
