2018/2019 winter weather_ El Nino

It's really complicated. I've lived in the SF Bay Area my whole life, I'm nearly 40, and some El Niño years have been huge and some not so much. Do you look at opensnow.com? They had a good post the other day looking at long term forecasting.

I just hope it's decent and gets a relatively early start. I don't have the flexibility in my schedule to go for storm days so I appreciate a consistent snowpack and a long season.

Since you are in the bay area me and you are in the same boat. I'm a little further north but fuck I pray for a good season. I'm going to check open snow now. Whatch all the weather predictions be wrong like they have been so many times in the past. Idk, it's all witchcraft this late in the summer to predict.

East is gonna suck this year if purely going by ENSO predictions. 70% is a pretty strong prediction for this early in the year, which leads me to believe they will be right. A lot of things can still change though. Here's this other link that breaks down ski regions more: https://unofficialnetworks.com/2018/05/23/noaa-is-calling-decent-chance-of-el-nino-this-upcoming-winter-so-who-will-get-the-snow/

If everyone just wears their pajamas inside out every night, we should be fine for a great snowy winter.
