Alright team,

So I'm gonna buy some SFBs, I was going to wait till the new 2018s came out but I've found a decent deal for the 2017s, plus I like the shark graphics.

However, I've got a friend who works in a ski shop and he's told me that the 2017 has a few dodgy batches where the core is less than perfect - can't drill in the bindings as the core doesn't hold them in or something along those lines.

I can't seem to find any real info on it, is this true? Has anyone had any issues with their 2017 SFBs?

I heard the cloud core was pretty weak and would break from impacts that definitely shouldn't break most skis.

Yeah, stuff like that does not fill me with confidence to be fair. I don't know whether to risk it...
