What do you guys think about the new 4frnt stuff? I think it all looks pretty sick and think im going to get the switchblades! BTW if you have ridden switchblades how do you like them?

kye series look wayyy dope, really wanna try out the 120s. and devs look fire as always. 4frnt has some niiice graphics this year

4frnt switchblades suck !! the two pairs I have seen people skiing on both the edges have pulled out under foot with only skiing on them for less than a month! the bases suck and they are so weak super easy to get core shots!!

I always enjoyed skiing on them. Decent pop, light, good swing, a little too stiff imo, overall I had a lot of fun on it. I'll agree that the bases need a little love, but that's all just personal preference

I'm a pretty big 4FRNT supporter (3 pairs and counting), but this year's lineup leaves a lot to be desired.
The Kye series doesn't look and different than what Rossi has been doing with the 7 series the past couple years. I was hoping for something pretty ground breaking like when 4FRNT released the EHP, Renegade or YLE. Instead we got another Squad/Super 7.
The Renegade and Wise seem to have ABS sidewalls over HALS construction this year. I felt was HALS was one of the real cool things 4FRNT was doing to differentiate themselves, not sure why they bailed on the concept...
Park skis haven't changed in forever. The switchblade isn't a bad ski, it's just not that good either.
I guess I was really hoping it would be a big year for 4FRNT. I thought they'd have a sick new pow ski from Kye that would bring something new, I thought they'd update the switchblade, and I thought they'd refine their whiteroom collection even further.

Also you might think the kye is similar because he used to ride for rossi, maybe he liked the ski and took things he liked and put them into this ski.
Also vibe veil is pretty cool this year, glad to see more companies dampening their skis.
I'm also confused what was so "special" about the YLE? Like I had the YLES and loved them but it was just a powder ski with pretty regular sidecut, nothing groundbreaking, just a real good ski.

When the YLE came out years ago there weren't any other skis quite like it. Other companies were still making big soft novelty skis for the backcountry frrestyle segment. K2 had the hellbent and line still had the big floppy EP pro. The YLE was one of the first skis of that waist width that was stiff enough to really charge on and was actually versatile.
Nowadays it's just another ski, but back then it was something people got excited about.

personally I am pretty interested in the Kye Series. Looks awesome. Not every ski needs or can be a groundbreaking revolution to the industry....some skis just work and need to be made.
