2014/2015 gear thread

gotta agree with this, except for anything thats solid black. I think this year was a massive improvement though

Yeah I owned the Range jacket with that print (Delirium). Pretty darn cool if you ask me, however I personally enjoy that pullover jacket with the tropical print, I think its kind of neat and fun

T shirts stretch, jackets don't. I feel like it would be like trying to put on a buttoned up dress shirt... cool either way though.

yeah, tried the 108 in the longest length and it crushed 15" of crud, but playful enough to mess around on. Super solid on landings.

any pics of the new armada outerwear? like a link to a catologue like there always was the last years?

I know it might be a little early but still, wud B nice

Please don't buy into that guy's junk. He comes on here every year causing a ruckus about how he's seen everything about every piece of next year's gear.

I really dont care. It doesnt affect me at all so feel free to do whatever the hell you want and when you start to respect people they will actually provide you with what you want. Ignortant fucks

I don't really care about seeing that stuff, as much as I used to anyways, so you can keep it to yourself. So long as I don't have to deal with dinglers like you, I should be okay.

This.

Anyone else see the picture they tweeted today of next year's touring ski? I don't remember what it was called but it had some fish scales underfoot. Looked wild

If only they would finally relize no one trusts they're quality. I always thought it was rumors with park skis only, my pow skis snapped after a season and a half

They're intended for skinless touring I believe. It should be a technical niche that will likely be expanded on within the next few years. Keep an eye on that game!

Skiing would be poor on hard pack. You would not get a solid feel underfoot and you would be skidding. It will I guess feel like an xc ski with the same base style. It will suck to base grind too, so interesting idea but not something that will replace skins IMO.

A few people on Ski Builders have fish scaled their bases with pretty good success. On the ascent they performed well except for icy or really steep skin tracks. On the descent there weren't any reports of skiing issues anywhere.

I doubt any of them skied them switch either. Personally I feel like these would be sick skiing switch in powder though, something to help scrub a bit of speed, slow things down, and make navigating turns easier.

Base grinding, the skis surface has looks impossible to grind. The guys on ski builders fish scaled bases were cut into the base, so they could be ground just fine, but a loss of grip would likely happen as the cuts wouldn't be as deep.

Like I said, right now it's pretty niche but I'm glad people are trying stuff like it. Hopefully people stay on that train to move it forward within the next few years. Having a ski that you didn't have to pull off, or apply skins to would be something legendary forsure.

Henrik got some ski socks coming out that look just like his mittens, all the skis look real dope but the T-Halls have a skull on it, it's the worst looking graphic Armada has ever came up with. The Classic Hoodie in Camo is real sick looking, Henriks pants that are Black all the way down to the cargo pocket and then is Red the rest of the way down, kinda reminds of Goons Technine pants. But the rest of the gear look 10x better then whats out right now. The pull over Woodland Camo Jacket is so dope.. i got to look at the Catalog today and you guys will like the Outwear its Nice

Twins, and rockered tails are useful for more than skiing switch. Sometimes people just like the ability to break the tail free a little easier.
