This is just one of the oakley outfits. Simon dumont and Tanner Hall no longer have their own pro rider series anymore. The new pro rider gear is for Kai Mahley and Richard Permin.
If you pause the video at 1:37 you can see new Scott poles & Bobby is riding those new Salomon park skis that are taking place of the suspects... I think
The funny thing is though if Oakley were to ever drop Tanner I am most certain they would use a huge following crowd. So if they drop him he will just go over to his own outerwear (Armada) and make himself a pro model. Sure Tanner isn't too worried about not having gear lol
But you said "huge following crowd" implying they would lose lots of money and/or street cred. Red Bull felt nothing when they dropped Tanner and neither would Oakley if it came to it.
Tanner doesn't hold the same reputation he did 8 years ago...or 4 years ago even when he was injured for that matter. Oakley could drop Tanner and not even blink
tc graphic looks tight, i believe i read somewhere it is no longer the same ski as the anthem was though. more rocker and they stiffened it up and perhaps no longer capped? i forget
The STH2 releases at DIN for boots with either traditional Alpine or licensed WTR (Walk to Ride) soles. So the WTR sole blocks that Solly makes for their Quest series release at DIN, in every lateral toe ejection. This is due to plastics sliding over the AFD (anti friction device).
However, boots with semi rockered or vibram soles such as the Tecnica Cochise or Scarpa Freedom will not release at DIN. The rubber in these soles causes more friction than a DIN release would call for. You can fit them into the binding however because STH2s accommodate their BSH (boot sole height).
Then boots like the Scarpa Maestrale or Dynafit Vulcan won't fit at all. Not sure if you can stuff them into the binding. Forget about releasing at DIN.
At the moment, the other alpine binding to accommodate fully rockered soles is the Marker Lord SP, supposedly. Haven't heard enough about that binding.
I don't know what about this new toepiece makes it capable, yet. Waiting patiently for SIA
I could be wrong, they could be Caylors...but they look slightly different to me (shape wise, not topsheet), just different enough to be something new.
Good eye there, I didn't see it until I looked a bit closer. Could definitely be a prototype for the new Caylor replacement, has a slightly different shape from the looks of it
