just wondering what everyone thinks of these planks?.... I rode the Punx last year and loved their playfulness, are the alpha 1's playful? The Punks were awesome but I didn't like how they were unstable, and they would vibrate and shake.

I hear they are not playful at all. I have Halos and they're pretty stiff, and they say Alpha 1s are the a stiffer halo.

Wile this doesnt really matter I think they are very ugly, one of the less attractive skis I have seen, the alphas from 2 years ago are beutiful though

you must not weigh a lot. cause halos and alphas are not stiff at all.

the 5 dimensional design makes the ski fun but the rocker makes them ride shorter. I demo'd a pair of alphas last year and they rode like blades they were nimble but if you want a stable ski to carve and stomp there are better alternatives

small threadjack here

thinking about getting halos for this year. the hill that i ski at is tiny and only has a couple mid size jumps but has LOTS of rails, and i do love a soft flexy ski. i'm 6'1" and 160lbs. are the halos good for me? or should i go up to the alpha 1's?

The Halos would be perfect if you want a softer ski. The alphas are essentially the same, but a bit stiffer, faster and more expensive.

As for OP, I switched over from the punx (which I didn't really like) to A1s. I honestly love them. Fun, poppy, durable, stable ski.
