2013-2014 gear

If you would like to see the pics of the skis I rode feel free to PM me. But if you guys don't want to the don't bother. Other than that I'm sorry that I claimed I had pics last year, I did have a few but I didn't have them all. I do have pics of a select few skis that I rode at the demo.

Bloom is still working on their winter line. I know they will have slim or at least non-baggy pants though

I thought I read on FB that they were to be going ape with khaki and the usual mint. Not sure if there were any other colours in the works...

got to try out all nordicas boots the other day, they are absolutely killing it this year, tj pro model is unbelievable, and the patron boot was even better imo.

Id say theyre the best brand out there atm, but thats just my opinion, one of the boot models, cant remember which, has replaceable canting soles too, which is genius

Dont quote me on this but im pretty sure Bloom is coming out with 3L this year and flannels. Im stoked because I got a 20% discount card with my pants this year, hopefully it works next year, i wanna get some flannels

i have a rather narrow foot, so it felt great, but a 98 is a more performance oriented fit as apposed to a comfortable 103, you have to try it for yourself unfortunatley the boot will feel different for everyone

According to their SIA pamphlet, it would appear the TJ boot is the only 98mm last of the Ace Line.

The Ace 3, 2, 1 Star all appear to be 100mm.

The patron is the only true 98 last, I have the patron pro right now... best boot ive ever had... The TJ Pro isnt actually a 98 last, its a 100 last, but with a tighter fitting liner to create 98 last. All the ace boots are 100mm.

this, i want to get them so bad, they have the same world cup gel liner the tj pro model had, and four buckle boots are way better imo, all other nordica boots have to large of an instep for me personally, but the patron pro was spot on, best boot ive ever worn

Kinda this. If I were an older backcountry rider, it would be perfect, but it just doesn't have the larger cut I am looking for at this point. Plus the colors are always really bright or the designs aren't simple

The only trew i have ever really liked was the khaki bibs and the denim and plum bellows everything else is kinda meh but the material is pretty bombproof

For those of you who are not too into the gear now what would you want them to change/add to make you consider buying a jacket in the future? Weather it be fit or color ways etc...

The fit, I would jump on trew if it were longer and slimmer, the current fit just looks way to akward if you size up, it makes you look like a snowman (really round/blocky midsection)

The fit looks fine to me, but would it really hurt to post jacket lengths? I don't care about length style wise, but when skiing deeper snow, I want something a bit longer (not saga long). I don't know why this is such a hard dimension for some brands to include. If I'm going to spend $400+ on a jacket that I can't try on in a store, I want to know as much as possible about that jacket. I don't want to ship it back if it doesn't fit right, that takes more money and more time. People may say "big deal, just ship it back", but in reality I'm sure it deters more people than not.

I'd love to support TREW, but what really keeps me from purchasing is the colors. I'd say a 1/4 of them are ok, but I think they're missing the market a bit. Imo, people who want those bright, patterned colors aren't going to spend ~$800-900 on a setup. Arc'teryx is catching up in terms of making a longer fit while having basic colors that have longevity. That and the fact that I can go try them on in stores makes it a no brainer for me.

just an opinion from a 26yo who is directly who TREW seems to be marketing towards; someone with money, wants top quality, and doesn't want to look like a skittle but wants a "freeride" fit.

Examples of stuff that I've like besides the solid colors

I wasn't saying that it doesn't.. I was saying that the trew fit should be longER and slimER, be cause IMO its to short for how wide it is, sorry if I didn't get that across the first time.

I always wonder about this with a lot of brands. I'm 5'10 155 w a short torso. I couldn't imagine trying to find a jacket that fit me well if I was a bit taller with a normal or long torso.

Awesome. Keep up the advice! We're currently working on the 2015 stuff and any advice you guys can give will be taken into consideration! I agree that the colors and fit need improving and ill be sure to pass any recommendations you have for colors onto the designers!

A few solid colors I think would be cool are light blue, pale yellow, and dark brown. brown zippers on light blue, light blue zippers on brown, and red or light blue zippers on pale yellow.
