2012 Winter Showdown Series at BCMR

The first of the 3 events is this Sunday. Registration starts at 9:30am, practice will go from 10:30am - 11:30am, riders meeting at 12pm, jam will start right after.

If you've never competed in these before..basically the top 5 competitors at each event will get points awarded & the top 3 will take prizes.

$3,000 cash purse for the Open divisions.

1st - $750

2nd - $500

3rd - $250

New this year... The overall series winner in the Mini-Shred Skier division will get a full hook up from Atomic next season.

Here's the results from Sunday's Rail Jam. I think it went extremely well compared to last years monsoon weather. Other than the online sales completely failing I think everything ran pretty smooth. Looking forward to the big air on the 12th! Also... If anyone knows any qualified hype men to get on the mic have them mail me their hypeman resume.

Open Skier

1st - Kevin Thomas -- 9pts.

2nd - Jamie Ficco -- 7pts.

3rd - Steven Larick -- 5pts.

4th - Cody Gushlaw -- 3pts.

5th - Auguste Boova -- 1pt.

Womens Skier

1st - Molly Prosser -- 9pts.

PLEASE... tell every female park skier/boarder you know to come out. I'm working on an all girls rail jam in March (possible cash prizes?) but if there's no turn out for these events we're not going to be able to pull this off.
 
get sean moore a bottle of jack and you've got your hype man. see ya for big air. i guess i need to learn how to hit jumps.
 
hahaha sean moore and a bottle of jack is the farthest thing from appropriate i could possibly think of. i'll get him a 6 pack of kool aid bursts instead.

I could probably use another qualified judge too. If you know anyone that might might be interested let me know.
 
what do you consider 'qualified'? trevor's competed in the past, and coached blue's freeride program, but i'm not sure if he's free next weekend.
