Ok first off I'd like to say that nordica is a legit company. Second I haven't ridden that ski but I have a good friend who has demoed it at SIA. Third, I have never put any wiener in or near my mouth ever. Ok now that we have that out of the way, I get it. Someone who doesn't know any better may think that these two skis are comparable. Nordica does market it that way. The fact is that they are not. The soul rider would be closer to the line blends but still IMO doesn't compare. First, the name "soul rider" is like level 20 metrosexual. Second, it's semi directional. It may be a twin tip and "capable" of riding switch but it's designed to ride forward. Third it's based on one directional turning radius where the bacons are based on three dual directionals. The bacons are a different ski altogether and to someone who is looking to make the whole mountain their park, it's no contest. The name "Sir Francis Bacon" is tongue in cheek to those with half a brain. Sir Francis Bacon was the godfather of the scientific method. By using this name, line and pollard are both trying to tell you that they have used the scientific method to develop the best possible ski through trial and error. There is quite a bit of truth to this analogy to anyone who has been following the development of this ski since it's inception. So I apologize for calling you a troll. Perhaps the first response of noob was more appropriate? Again if you are going to compare the "soul rider" to another line ski I would suggest the blends. The bacons are a whole other bear and would stomp circles around the soul rider any day of the week.
