wat do.

I wanna get it but I'm getting impatient since lifts open up in a few weeks. Any news on a drop date?

The fact that it might not be dropping is making me shy away from it. Which is unfortunate.

Although I can tell you that I had one of their new Reasons jackets. Thing was a pretty nice coat. I sold it though.

Would like to see what other coats and pants they'll have though.

Where did you hear that?

I talked to Kirill and he told me they should be getting samples soon. They would get them around mid October but don't quote me on it.

Hmm, I apologize. I didn't mean to say "not dropping", meant to say "not dropping till Novemeber".

MY BAD!

Is there at least a look book somewhere?

I should be getting a catalog from Surface soon. I'm not sure whether it is 11/12 or not. I will post it if it is though. Oh and pictures of my new skis. Stoked

You have at least a month until you can ski shitty coverage at T-line. Probably more like a month and a half easily.

I had heard they were reworking their whole '12 lineup....word was they had alotta chips riding on the pollard deal that went south but who knows?....prob jus a rumor that they're reworking everything else too.

owner of a shop. he asked them for a catalog and they said there wasn't one, might've been not yet. could be mistaken by all means, not 100%

Straight from Causwell:

"SOFTGOODS/ PRICE POINT JACKET PANT POSSIBLY END OF THIS MONTH/ REST OF OUTERWEAR END OF NOVEMBER. and no look book, ya'll can wait!"

I'm sure it will be worth the wait!

so professional

exactly what I want to be doing, saving my money and not have a suit for the start of the season, and then be let down if the suits suck

get your fucking shit together

Yeah I'm getting pretty antsy... They should at least post mock ups so I can figure out it it truly is worth skiing my first few days in torn up pants and layering sweatshirts.

from their blog

"Time for a quick update about what's going on over here at Causwell. The last six months, the brand has seen a complete overhaul. New direction, new ideals, new product and collectively, a new mindset. Stopping and starting completely over from scratch. Not a lot has been publicized or promoted the last few months because, to be honest, we were trying to figure out where to take the brand ourselves. We wanted to make sure we could wake up each morning and be excited and proud of the product and the brand itself. We threw all industry timelines and expectations out the window and decided to make stuff we'd wear year after year, classic colors, simple-minimal branding with modern fits. Stuff that you keep for years or pass on to a friend or family member rather than drop at the thrift store or sell on a chat room. We are excited again. So with that being said, we are expecting an extremely limited delivery of Causwell goods around November 1st that will be available only at our Causwell Concept Store in SLC and a couple select retailers. We will be photographing product, building lookbooks and a new website as quickly as possible. Starting this week we will do updates every few days until the goods are ready to go live. Thanks a lot for the continued support as we work through this learning curve. "

I respect that. They will only produce something they can fully stand behind.

I also like that they are going to use "classic colors,simple-minimal branding and modern fits". Less crazy colors on the hill.

We should throw them a bone. It must be tough to have a deal fall through this close to the season. They are doing their best to get a great product out as soon as they can.

Keep it up Causwell!

I stopped by the Causwell store yesterday and it looks like it really will be November, outerwear is still in production. If you can't wait till then, there was still some sick non-production samples left in the store...I think I only saw size large, not sure what the price was...looked like the Pollard stuff.

I've decided not to consider any outerwear until I see theirs. Not that anything has really caught my eye this summer. The only thing I like so far is the grey Saga On deck coat, or the Orage Baxter in maroon or blue.

So, I'm in no real rush.

If they're doing earth tones this winter. I'm in.

I feel, they might be the skiers Holden almost.

Someone posted a yellow/black causwell reasons jacket in the 2012 what are you wearing thread, is this a new colorway for this year? Its mainly yelllow with black 3/4 of the way down

Yes, that was me. It's what it is, mainly yellow. I can't get a pic right now, since I'm on my phone, but you can check my threads and there should be a sale threads with a pic in it

I didnt find anything really special about their gear last year

deff going to be overhyped and a complete let down

they definitely will, just call in. They are super easy to deal with and Ive called from Canada twice. Paid with credit card and had my transaction dealt with smoothly. Kirill is the man!

I have the impression that the new direction for Causwell will undoubtably cater to the backcountry aficionado. Mike Schneider is spending a lot of time in the BC and it has shown over the last two seasons. Just look at how much the ski line accommodated thinner, and lighter molds so they could be considered more authentic among that crowd. I never saw any posts from Surface's, Causwell's, or Joystick's social media outlets with Mike wearing any of the super colorful Causwell stuff. It seems as if it headed in that direction towards the end of last year and then Pollard left and things needed to be recalculated. It should turn out really nice, just totally different. The loud baggy style might be dead.

Pretty sure the loud baggy style has been dead. Jus takes some of the skiing communty a bit to catch up. But for the love of god we must stop the gypsy look by all means! It's getting difficult to tell the dudes from the chicks and that is bad m'kay?

Nice update, I am stoked to see where they are taking the company and can't wait to see the new gear!

I don't see either styles as a problem. But you can see more and more companies are releasing fitted outerwear, along with long.

It was like yours but reversed, more yellow than black. Yours is mainly black unless I saw the wrong one, still a dope jacket though have you sold it yet

Are you talking about the causwell coat that has been posted on the last two pages? Like most recently? Because that is next years yellow coat, and the guy just has his black pants on top of it. And I did sell it

The others are black and yellow, yellow, blue and brown, orange and black, and I think that's it for next years Reason coats

I respect their outlook on that a lot. There have been so many brands coming into the industry lately just giving shitty quality with something that is okay rather than a smaller availability of something that people are actually going to love. I have always liked causwell a lot but I doubt they will be carrying as many riders now.

I was wondering about their park team, and what it'll look like. If they're going into more of a technical fit, with earthy tones, where does that leave their park skiers who like big stuff? How much appeal will they have?

its not like any other outwear company is shipping before mid-october anyways. Saving the best for last, so stoked to see the new stuff!

Oh my god I just wrote a big long thing that was awesome and my power went out...

I think with a 'modern' fit It just means it will be longer and thinner, so that the product is bigger on everyone like, I'm a small person maybe I would only get a medium to be really sized up instead of getting a large.

It's kind of a shitty move for them I mean I recall last year they had a hard time getting their product out and as soon as it started to sell it was sold out. A lot of people got irritated and I didn't come around very many causwell set ups throughout my season other than some of their rider's at Boreal. Is it really smart of them to do something in gear season? They don't have a lot of die hard fans simply because they have no time under their belt. This could be a make or break situation for them. I would buy their gear if it was available to even maybe see, but the fact is I had no hint they were even going to be putting out product this year so I wasn't trusting sitting around for it.

I wrote a really long thing on my phone, but it didn't post...

I like the long fit, it's grown on me. In both outerwear and t shirts. So, if they make a technical fitting product, with that little extra length, I'll be happy.

However, the fact that they've decided to completely re-haul their product line, it's just a weird move.

The stuff that the public have is either a discontinued Pollard suit(and fucking beautiful I might add, I've worn it, sold it to my room mate), or some sample Reasons jackets (I've also owned, but sold it). What ever they did right with the Pollard bib pant, I hope they do it with every other pant.

As for them not releasing yet, BLAH!

I can wait, it's the biggest cock tease though. I'd really like to see their stuff. I've realized though, that since no one else is really shipping till end of November any ways, I can wait for them to release.

I think it'll be worth it.
