2012-2013 Saga Thread

The one LJ is wearing in the blog post is the real deal. the blue logo'd one in the store was taken from an earlier sample and hasnt been updated. keen eye you have.

I ordered a large On Deck coat that imwaiting on. Im only 5'8" though and i dont want the jacket really baggy. from what i hear saga's stuff runs big. Do you think a large is a good size? or would a medium be better ?

these items havent been shipped yet so no members will be able to help you. however judging from the few we have in our show room they feel like they would be as warm as 3 cotton hoodies. obvisouly not as bulky as that but in terms of warmth thats how i would gauge it. theyre pretty well insulated. the first class zips ups have been very popular with all of our team members that have tried it on and tested out the samples.

He's not looking for the jacket, he's looking for the hoodie (like the one that comes free with certain orders). Which I don't think is the same sizing for the "hoodies" section, cause I have a XXL and it's for sure not 37" long. I'd say it's probably closer to the "riding hoodie" sizing.

i read the previous comment incorrectly. The OG logo hoodies are more of a generic hoodie fit. For reference the xxl is 29" from the neck to the bottom. and 26" across under the arm pits running across the chest. the riding hoodies have a taller fit like our other items

I realised that after I posted.

Anyway. Lets keep this on topic!

I'm still super stoked for my order to arrive, even though I haven't had a shipping confirmation as of yet.

I'm thinking of getting the Safari khaki anomie next week. I'm just not sure if I should get the pants or the jacket!

make sure to Sam McChesney's order out first. just saying...you know because saga's really cool and all. And I have the same last name as someone in the saga fam.

Anomie, Fatigue and On Deck orders are expected to start shipping before the end of the month. be on the look out for a blog update about shipping.

Saga is probably getting annoyed with all these questions lol... but for real im pretty sure there going to try and ship everything out by the end of october

I got an XL Anomie a couple years ago and I've decided it's way too huge and seeing as some of the sizes and designs are pretty appetizing here, I've decided to pick something up here...

Can anyone give me a solid breakdown comparison of the Anomie, the On Deck, and the Shut Out in terms of warmth, etc? I'm kinda confused...

I like the shutout and the On Deck a lot but the price makes it seem like it's not as warm or something...

Throw me a bone?

The On-Deck features two layer fabric, critical seam taping a waterproof/breathability of 10k/10k.The Shutout is a three layer softshell jacket with a waterproof rating of 10k.

The Anomie is three layered, fully seam taped and has a waterproof/breeathabilty rating or 20k/15k.

On a warmth scale, the On Deck is the warmest (it's actually insulated, not just a shell), then the Anomie, then the ShutOut

On a waterproof scale, the Anomie is the most waterproof (3L), then the On Deck, then the ShutOut

On a weight scale, the ShutOut is the lightest, then the Anomie, then the On Deck.

I tend to think of the ShutOut as a glorified sweatshirt, but in a good way, it's lightweight, still fairly warm (it's warmer than a normal hoodie for sure), and has the storage of a jacket, plus vents.

The On Deck is a really nice, warm jacket, it's not the most waterproof thing out there, but it'll hold its own when it's snowing. Also, I think it's the most wearable jacket off hill, it's something that you can wear on hill then walk around town very easily and not look like you just came from/are going skiing.

The Anomie is the classic Saga shell, really waterproof, fairly warm, still lightweight, and has that fit/look that a lot of freestyle skiers out there are looking for.

I don't know yet, I haven't gotten mine in (I've owned the others). It appears to be a slightly lower end Anomie. It's 2 layer instead of 3 layer, it's got 15K/10K waterproofing/breathability versus the Anomies 20K/15K. Also it's got a different fit (see the size chart for that).

why does shipping the stuff take so long? my ski season is starting really soon and i dont have any outerwear :( im sure its worth the wait but it takes too long

Once we have the items in our warehouse it doesnt take long. Waiting for them to get to us on the other hand can take some time. The pacific ocean is pretty big.

LDC's line is also tiny as fuck, idk why they don't expand it ever, sure they added a 3L jacket this year but who cares.

Lol I don't care... I was stating that in regards to a longer ship time. More product = more to ship = takes longer.

Idk why you're dead set on making one better than the other. Not to mention that overused 12 year old analogy. Jesus....

I'm not, i'm just saying that since LDC sells to a smaller customer base, they ship faster. nothing else... i own outerwear from both saga and LDC
