Those are probably the sickest boots I've seen. Just saying.

11/12 First Chairs, shorter middle cable from an old pair of raichles, J bars added to the liner cause I didn't know these would pack out like a mother, custom footbeds. About to get boosters once I get back to Colorado. Ninja boots.

Anyone mind recommending me a boot? Think of going for something like a 90-100 flex. Ski pretty hard for some east coast, don't really ride pow, and very little park. i'm 180lbs. Thoughts? I've been skiing some shitty ass Atomic boots, I find they're too soft, and my heel moves around too much for my liking.

I don't want to have to say this, but go to a local shop. Try on every boot and see what feels the best. Don't buy a boot offline just cause they seem cool.

The full tilt one has extra J-bar support for better heel hold. It also has the intuition quick mold foam that doesn't NEED to be heat molded, but can....though you don't need to heat the liner as long.

Well I'm planning on buying from a local shop anyway, I was wondering what people find they like and dislike in terms of boot quality and performance.

Please see the stickied thread at the top of the page on how to buy a new ski boot. Post your questions and comments there and keep this for gear porn. Basically, all manufacturers make shitty boots and awesome boots- you get what you pay for, just get fitted by someone who can properly find you the right fit.

I'm rocking 26.5 red/white t-walls with 8 flex lime green tongues. I'm a size 10 so it's a tight fit but I love em. I've been having some pressure points along the sides of my forefoot and some heel lift lately though, need to take em in to see a boot fitter.

i don't like three buckle overlap designs as is, and that buckle looks absolutely tiny. that strap had better be awesome or the boot is going to flex like shit.

You found a pair of ghost 120 cs for 200$ new? or a pair of the older black and white ones?

A good deal either way, but the black ones are 110 flex...

Dont wait for that K2,. Salomon boots are top notch. this is k2's first year in, they definitely will do something wrong.

i would highly disagree with this. even though its their first year, i feel like they have enough resources and such to make sure that there are absolutely no problems with them

i don't think i can name a boot today with "absolutely no problems," pretty sure k2 isn't going to surpass every boot company in the world in their first year.

Salomon didn't change the ghost until this year with the Ghost Max. It Fit the same, just adding CS for people with a slightly wider forefoot could get what they needed.

The flex/performance changed tho. First year was 130. Next year was 110, People complained too soft . Then they made 100 and 120 for 2011 and 2012.

yah, but then he linked the K2 boot that is not a solly ghost. And what I am saying is...what do the two have to do with each other?

I have 2013 Seth Morrison FT's. They're great and all, but the buckle system does piss me off. I find myself readjusting them constantly when I'm skiing. One day I'll get them perfect, the next it'll be too tight or too loose all day long!

I'm hoping to get a booster strap and see if that helps.

A boot for every outfit duhhh lol jk I'm interested to see what nordica does with their line up next year, they need to move away from their transfire series and back to their old 4 buckle boots like the enforcer or the newer patron

Currently wearing these, Lange Super Blasters (120 flex), mine w/booster straps602170.jpeg

Hoping to pick up a pair of these for next season, Garmont Delerium (130 flex) w/ WC boosters and intuition power wrap

A booster strap will help keep the top tight throughout the day. That should relieve some pressure of the buckles and allow for consistent retention...
