Hey guys, i seriously cannot make up my mind. I am 5'10, an aggressive skier probably 70% park 30% all mountain depending on the amount of snow. I ski on the east coast. I ski lots of rails. I was on Alpha 1's last year. I want a ski that is different, the JMO i think would be more fun for the whole mountain, but the only thing that is keeping my from buying them is how they perform in the park, particularly on rails, this years are 101 underfoot so alot wider than my alpha 1's. After watching karls summer edit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enBuvqi2Bgg the look amazing in the park. I just want someone else's opinion before i pull the trigger! Thanks guys +K for legit answers

the Jmo's look better IMO which i know doesnt matter

Jmo for sure! I have 186 FRs on the way but if I lived almost any where but wisconsin I would've bought jmos.

FYI, Karl's riding FRs with the JMo topsheet in that edit, if I'm not mistaken...

Honestly, you'll be fine either way. I've skied my FRs in late season Utah powder and they were decent, so anything you get on the east coast will be fine. I rode the FRs all over the place last season and they ripped...granted last season we got like zero snow...so there's that. I'm getting both FRs and Jmos (I'm assuming that's not in the cards for you), but if I had to only pick on for the East Coast it'd probably be the FRs cause I ski more park than anything else. It's your call though, but like I said you really can't go wrong either way, and either way your going to love the skis you're on.

OP, I picked up the jmo's for exactly what you described but I live out west. I've always skied a wider ski in the park and never had any problems.

dam thats what i was worried off haha, yeah i know the FRs would probably better for just park, the wideness of this years jmo is the only thing holding me back, idk why i see a bunch of kids with kung fujas or blends which are just as widing rocking the park

+k to all you guys though! has anyone ridden the 2012/13 jmo's?

They guy from sugarbush Sundays (spacing on his name, starts with a k) slays on his blends in the park, and they're about the same width as the jmo, plus you will have a little more fun it when you are not in the park

yeee chris you could be like mcslay and tailpress the shit out of everything or get filthies and be as P.R.O. as matt. its all up to you

haha true dat, im thinking Jeronimo, wide skis seems fun in the park and i still have my alpha 1s to beat on at wachusett

Why don't you go in the middle? For something on the wider side you could pick up some Rossi Scimitars (98 width)or for something closer to the FR you could maybe go with the Line TC. (93 waist). Just a suggestion.

well the i want to go with on3p because i want to support and awesome company, i want rocker and line or rossi compared to on3p......i mean on3p is hands down a better ski

Karl was on an FR with a Jmo graphic, as far as I know.
I'd say go with the FRs. They're not a bad all mtn ski, and with 70% park, you'll be enjoying the whippiness of the thinner ski for rails and jedi jump skills.
That said, it depends on your park style. Personally, I'm more of slow spinner in the park, so I'm not looking for the quickest, lightest tool in game. There's a little more stability to the Jmo, and it's a better all around ski, so I'd make your decision based on what you think you'll be doing.
Also, if you're a bigger/more powerful dude, the wider ski won't be an issue to push around. If you're more on the willowy side of things, it might be an issue to have the wider one.

thanks for the input man! yeah im a pretty aggressive skier but you really think the FR is a decent all mountain ski? i really ski mostly in the park but the mountain i ski at has great terrain all over so i just want a ski that turns good and is fun

I've skied my FRs all over the mountain. They're fine in everything under 6" of pow, the center mount really isn't much of an issue, and the elliptical sidecut means you can crank turns on them when you want.

you wanna ski outside the park? Jmo. Yeah it is a bit wider for rails, but it is way better outside the park.

that is my vote.

ive got FRs and they absolutely slay everywhere (i ski east coast aswell) but anything 0n3p makes is gold so u really cant go wrong
