2011-2012 season

Corrugated pipes arent really fun for us skiers. Especially when there set up at the top of the hill and theres nothing else to hit. Maybe instead of the corrugated just have a round pipe sitting in the snow like Blue does. As far as the wall goes theres not a whole lot you can do with it. Maybe just make sure it has good vert so you can get to the top. Oh and for rails just some simple flat rails and down rails, there always fun. Gettin pumped for the season even more now.

im not a huge fan of corey p's either, but they have there place in the park. and skiers can do them...its just a little more gnar then a snowboard 50/50 ing it. Ill keep folks posted on what new features we decide to get

for sure man, ill hopfully get into the park more often this year as im going into the season injury free for the first time in a few years lol

I think the funnest, atleast one of the funnest features I have ever rode was a smooth mellow S box. And would love to see something like this.

I also really like the idea of that huge round bar rich.

Also, when I was in VT Killington had a park that was called the Stash, and every feature (50+) was made out of wood. It was one of the coolest/unique things I have seen wrt park creativity. Would be cool to see something like this too. (wood is over rated for ejecting out of too).

Just some more ideas to think about! This cold weather is getting me excited!

Building some fun new features these days for lakeridge with direct influence from your posts here and on the facebook page so thanks for that input, ill post pics when they're done...but they'll be fun!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

With all the movies coming out, all the pre season hype, and it getting cold, I can barely sleep at night now, and all I dream about is skiing. STOKED!

i want to see the big step up again, same as the one that was there like 6 years ago at the bottom right..... such a sick jump! or the big step down again that was there like 4 or 5 years ago, middle left

Big step up and step down sounds awesome. I always liked the one that was there on the left side a while back.......do you guys know why the stopped building that feature? or the step up?

Can't wait to rip it up with the Lakeridge crew! Its been a long time coming...

Yeah James, I agree the step down and step ups were sweet features for sure where was that step up in relation to the wall? I can't remember... We're going to step it up this year, I got a good crew working with me again, and with input from guys like you, we'll kill it!

What did you guys think of little rzrs last year? I thought the jumps were way to small, but it was ok...what do you guys think?

Alright, the step up was kind of near the bottom, when the park makes a left turn, and then there was a set of three rails. Right before that turn, that's where the Premiere jump was, the biggest one. It had a little too much kick, but whatever. Ask anyone who was on park crew last year. Set up the bottom like it was last year, maybe add another little fun feature or something after the three set of urban rails.

The Little Rzr was good last year, but jump sizes, and make sure to switch it up again like they did half way last year. It was fun to take a little refreshing lap in.

Make sure that the park has LOTS of flow and LOTS of possibility for lines, because that's what really defines a park, makes it memorable, and defines it from the rest.

That's all the input I have for right now, if you have any questions on anything or want an outside opinion at any point, feel free to contact me. I know you guys are going to do an amazing job of it this year. Cheers!

the step up im talking about was back a long while, if you ask corneal or any of the older park crew they'll know which one. the big step up was set up near the bottom, on the right side, the park makes a slight left turn and flatten out. as the hill flattened out the start of the transition begun and up a big step up. Probably about 100 feet maybe after the landing ended would be the wall. The first year it was there, it was about a 45 - 50 feet clearance, with a smaller maybe 20 footer as a second lip. the next year, they had the step up and the sickest up-rail (im my opinion) lakeridge has ever had. a good 6 foot gap maybe, 25 foot up rail with a good angle, and about 10 feet clearance to the landing of the step up.... soooo smooth!

i agree with that being the best jump and rail set up lakeridge has ever had. that rail would be amazing for big spins out.

FM Heard public school in whitby closed down, and they are going to demolish the school. there's a gnarly long downrail at it, gagnier has hit it, with zicat and others, its so sick.... you guys should talk to the school board about buyin it from them or whatever you can do, and put it in its so sick

Ill be at Brimacombe this year, hoppefully they can add some features this year and make bigger jumps, but I doubt it caus they havent responded to my email

I can't wait for Louis either...but really ill take anything, I got so many new features for Lakeridge and I just wanna build park! hopefully we can get wet temps of -4 next week but I'm not holding my breath, forecast sucks

Hey. I have some pics of new features at Lakeridge this year. Sorry about the size, taken with a cell phone camera. Perhaps someone can assist. These will be a lot of funny. Hopefully snow will come soon.

this is why i thought the up big-round would be fun...this is obviously pretty gnar...but, the idea is very cool...

That is super sick! realistically tho, i dont think lakeridge would be able to build a jump big enough for something like that, and the rail is about 10 - 12 feet longer than that one..... would be sick tho!

Yeah it is long...just like the up idea of it...but, really on a down or flat....that thing is going to be a lot of fun...

Burke, I'm feeling a white stencil on the side of the large red tube saying, "Lakeridge's BIG RED ROCKET", and having it set up as an up rail, or a nice mellow down.

or a down rail that says, lakeridge is limp.

just kidding haha no hate here, any guess on when you guys are opening? before christams perhaps!?

Word on the street is the 22nd. Park will have features as the piles in there are big, even with all the rain.

Our opening is the 22nd at 430....I was out in razors edge today pushing snow around, we got a lot of snow. so after this cold we should be able to put something sick together...we got builds scheduled for next tues, wed, and thurs... we have an awesome crew of parkstaff veterans ready to dig and build the best park Lakeridge has seen....see you there

ill be at louis for christmas break and my reading week, and then glen eden for the rest of the season.

Any glen riders feel free to message me and we can meet up out there or something, i'd be stoked to ride with anyone

We got a ton done today.
