2011 / 2012 Oakley Splice Nose Studs?

I've tried looking through the search bar before posting this and I can't seem to find anyone having any luck getting the nose pieces out of the newer Oakley Splices. Just wondering if it's possible to get them out? +K for constructive feedback.

are you talking about the little silver bits. if so, i dont believe you can remove them

Yah those silver pieces near the nose of the goggles. I noticed Pinnacle Peter had 2011/2012 splices with black studs and a black frame so it must be possible somehow.

i guess. i have a pair and i've looked before and haven't figured out if its possible or not.

just took a look and i got mine out. remove the lenses and use a small screw driver or something else to poke the little prong on the inside of the frame

I also removed mine, no damage to the frames and the studs are metal, so no way to teally damage them.

My studs are plastic but mine sustained no damage. It is purely cosmetic, they serve no purpose functionally. Removing them is a non-problem. Give it a try!

Anyone have any black nose studs they wanna sell or trade for a silver pair?Or does anyone know where I can get them?

Metal won't hold any dye. You'd have to paint them.

BTW the "O" at the top is super easy to get out, incase anyone is wondering.

just for shits n giggles I took mine out after stumbling on this thread. it was said it doesn't retract from functionality but I notice it does just leave a little hole, is this not a problem to anyone?

its not like, people are gonna leave them out. he was asking to see if they were removable so he could paint them. im certain he or anyone else looking to paint them would put them in after..
