2011/2012 Gear

anyone want to tell me why line has so many park skis that are all relatively the same? i swear there are like 5 different ski that are mid 80's in the waist, twins, and close to symmetrical.

line always has my favorite graphics every year but the last couple years have been mehh, those EPs are sick though, bring back the wolves and original SFB type shit!

Here are the 4FRNT YLE's, with the correct graphic

the ones with the skull looks like the step up cause it looks like the skateboard construction, i believe the ones that are dark in between the blends and abangs are the chronics

y the hell cant they make a ski like the lizzies or anthems again. those were fun skis, seems to me like skis are getting more uniform and boring. bring back soft skis line, you're starting to look (in terms of shape and flex) more and more like other companies every year.

it sucks but factories have quantity minimums they need in order to fully produce a ski. if dealer orders are down, production orders will be down, and then models get canceled because they can't fulfill the minimum required to produce the ski. this is unfortunately what happened.

That doesn't really seem likely though, considering how high the demand is for them. Just how Line bailed on park skis over 178 for a year or two because "there was no demand" when that is what every kid wanted and bitching threads were made by the handful. Please Line, make a 180ish Lizzie, and me love you long time. I love my lizzies, but I don't want to bash them too much because once they are trashed, I can't replace them.

Talk of demand (people saying how much they want it) and actual demand ($$$ in the register) are two different things. I'm good friends with Jason Levinthal, and this is why they weren't produced in the end- actual demand wasn't there. Technically speaking we don't produce enough Bentchetlers to warrant their production in our factory. Honestly. But we make them because (aside from them being super fun) they are such an iconic ski.

soooo from what i hear from eheath the booters and high fives are as wide or wider than spks?

ok so im wrong, its just this year i couldnt find what the last was on the spk so my bad, but i just said what i heard from heathbut thanks for the accual specs

Isn't it true though that the intuition liners when molded can compact like 3mm? Or does that not matter?

Yes, but the ultimate limiting factor is the shell- if the shell is too narrow, it won't matter how much the liner can compress.

wow really? I have a pair of 192's (which are super fun) and all I see in Whistler is people riding around on Bentchetlers every powder day.
