it's good for econmic wise but not for me personally. i am actually thinking about moving out there around that time and the olympic will definatelly raise the housing prices.

The Olympics will probably not be good for the economy, and they will definitely not be good for you as a skier if you like Whistler. Expect to see Whistler's degradation into an elitist, yuppie resort accelerate - and ski culture, soul, and values vanish.
Also, where did you get the idea that weed is being legalized? It's not. It's being decriminalized, and all that means is this:
Say you were busted with a 1/4 oz. before the newest legislation. The cops would confiscate your pot and tell you to scram. They were specifically instructed by the judicial bodies to NOT charge you for possession small personal amounts because it would clog up the court system. Now, they can just fine you the $150 or whatever it is for having ANY amount, no matter how small. It's a money grab for the government. Penalties for growers are also getting stiffer.
