2010/11 LOON updates

Hey all, just a thread to stay updated on what loon has setup for features and how the conditions are.

Last i knew there were a few jibs set up.

Pole Jam/cannon feaure

barrel bonk

short mailbox rail (flat)

short but wide snowmaking pipe (flat)

snowmaking pipe (down with donkey dick kink)

flat box

They opened the park from the entrance by the 7 bros chair/picaroon entrance. Had some nice rollers to butter which will eventually be jump landings. a smooth dfd box, big hip on the left with the landing leading into a high spine/wall ride on the right. Anyone hit this straight on? Seems like a big boost to get onto the top of the rail...

They should have it open from the top by the end of the week.

there probably just blowing a shit ton of snow then shaping everything in time for x mas day or the day after

Agree with changing the hip for the usual third jump. That was always a nice poppy medium jump. Good for warming up before the build the big boys.

I also which they'd wouldn't use so much time & snow on the pipe that turns to a block of ice for 90% of the season. I know it's a marketing strategy to say you have one but...

yea the jump is nice

and i only hit the pipe in the spring cuz its mad icy all year long... so dumb of it being open this year

Buddy of mine was there today said the top of the park was all done and they were working on the jumps.

Top looks like this.

-flat rail

-down c-rail,

-back to back down bars

-A rail

-Wall ride with rails on both sides

-dfd box

-dfd rail

Anyone going up tomorrow (friday the 24th)? I'm back home over winter break and skiing at loon just for the day. It'd be fun to have someone to shred park with! I'll be on old Line 1260's and wearing a brown cordoroy jacket with tan pants and a white hat.

oh lol. thought was u. my bad bro lol. i thought i saw a saga moss but i guess i didnt look hard enough

in a last ditch attempt to not ski alone, i will again say that i'll be there in my trew suit tomorrow. purple pants, grey/black jacket, this year's walls, and most likely a saga face thingy. say hi, I hate being alone!

They have the complete park set up and have changed up the jibs at the top a little. The big jump line is up in the bottom half. I hate guessing at jump sizes but they're normal size for Loon (meaning pretty big). The second to last one pops you suuuper high and the last one is even bigger. Fun stuff.

not to turn this into an edit competition thread (the rail shots in the one above this were killer!), but I just put out a lil Loon edit too and thought I would share, filmed the January 8th-9th
