Hey guys,
I'm an east coaster (80 big mountain/20 park) who is going to be working at Kirkwood this season. i'm 5'11" 185 to 190 lbs with longer legs, a thick core, and shorter torso. i have a penchant for agressive skiing with a playful/poppy ski that can hold it's own in the steeps. I currently ride 2007 k2 public enemies (80 mm waist) on east coast ice and crud and i absolutely love them. I'm torn between the 179 and the 189 k2 obsetheds from the 2008/2009 season. i've been advised to go for the 189s a little below center mounted to have enough tail to safely land hucks. I've been told that because of the rocker, they will be soft and playful enough for getting a little jibby. at my measurements, and with kirkwood's abundant snow and wide open bowls and steeps, do you recommend the 189s or 179s? thanks!
