Can anybody that owns one comment on reliability/repairs?

I am aware of 100,000 mile head gasket issues. Whats the average cost on those? Anything else that is noteworthy that should be attended to, or thought of? Car in question is 108,000 miles. Thanks.
 
those cars are notorious for turbos going out like clockwork every 60,000 miles. Do not recommend.
 
fuck all of you except the one kid with the info. We are a community of skiers, thus a community of subaru owners. I wanted to get the downlow from homies instead of some dumb slut who never got her oil changed and was pissed her engine blew and wrote about it on edmunds or some bullshit. Be happy that this isn't another stupid thread about bullshit shitty music or a retard question regarding what happens when your high or try to party in 10th grade. Fuck.

They will be able to provide you with infinitely more knowledge than just about anyone on NS, including the technical stuff you're looking for. Hell, they probably have an entire forum dedicated to Outback tech specs and engine work.
