I have been having a look on the internet and it is good to see down here in New Zeland we once again get the year ahead models for new skis gear. So if you havent already seen the 2005 range check it out. This is the first time I have seen them apart from the Karmas. So place you hand on the mouse,

i saw a guy riding these expressions in switzerland. the biggest tail on a ski i ever saw! they look super good aswell.

Shawn, I believe you cant beat a nice race ski on the groomers, but if you get a stiff twin tip, like the volkl v-pro or the karma they aren't that bad for groomers. But then again it is like compairing a rally car to a farrari. The Farrari will always win on the open road. get a twin tip that is stiff in the tip and tail as well not just stiff in the middle of the ski

ya i skied the 175 karmas and they were quite sick, im torn between those, the seth pistols, and the skogens

there was a convention a couple months ago which showed next years skis for all the companys. NS had a whole article about it with picture so you can search for that if you missed it.

 
i prefer twins with no edges, actually im so use to no edges that i dotn know what i would do with those skis... probably catch an edge and die

I was checking the Karmas out in the store today and the are Savage. I put them back to back with the Scratch BC and they were so similar in dimentions. The Karma may have been a tiny litle stiffer when flexing them in the shop.

The Karmas are $1095 here in New Zealand. SO working of todays exchange rate that will be $648.02 US Dollars. I dont know how accurate that would be compared to what you would pay for them in the states.

i thinking about getting the karmas because i want a ski that can ski pow aswell. Any one know how they ride?

Karma's should be great in Powder, they have an 87mm waist, and a wide shovel so they should be good midfat powder skis.

It's a swallowtail, not Twintipped. It helps sink the tail of the ski into powder so that the tips rise up and above the snow. Helps with flotation.

Can anyone explain to me why Volkl made the Dragon Slayer? Is it a junior ski? Look at the Dimensions, its pitiful. I don't understand why Volkl would ever manufacture that ski.

^Word. It has a great sidecut and flex though, it would probaly be a sick all mountain ski. As long as it's not really heavy it should be sick. I never understood why Volkl's twin tips weren't as popular as other companies. The V-Pro is nearly perfect, and explosive was sick.

Snowcoast...do you know anything about skis? With a 66 waist it's a mogul ski. From what ive heard it rips in the bumps too.

i really want the karmas but weight will be issue-anyone know if they are heavy? I dont really care as long as they are not super heavy
