2005 Elan M02 Series

i skied the elans last year and i personally thought they sucked i didnt like them because they were WAY to soft and the third edge caused a few problems..also i delmaninated the tails and ended up having to put divits in them...i ended up giving them to my friend cuz i got the skis from a rep and ski on K2 public enemys the rest of the year i dunno if they have gotten any better this year tho

Elan makes skis for quite a few companies, and also presses some Burton boards. So what's your point?

Are you now going to tell us that Fischer presses a shitload of Salomon skis like it's news or something? While we're at it, Tyrolia makes Fischer bindings, Look, Rossi, and Dynastar are all the same company and are owned by Quiksilver, and oh ya, K2 owns half the industry, including Volkl and Marker.

So, again, what's your point?

the point he's making is that the people who make Elan skis assemble and press armada skis, meaning they are as well built and duarble as an armada ski.

the differnece is the top sheet and shape, not the actual process of makin the skis.

^that's a really bad comparison. do you think that it matters who puts the materials together? not at all. i could do it. all you do is epoxy some composites around a piece of wood. what truly determines a skis ability to withstand the elements is how well the materials are pressed together. sure elan and armada may not use the exact same materials, but they are both a traditional ski- wood cores, fiberglass, steel edging etc.
