Here is an update on the 2005/06 skis, and why nobody is riding on them yet.

We are in the process of prototyping 4 different prototype models. Here is a little rundown in no particular order. All new models will feature the new Monoblock maple core with the Lamanate under foot for binding support and rivits in tip and tail.

Prototype #1-Same as before with an added Carbon layer and a Fiberglass shim. (Similar to PEP Fujative)

Prototype #2-Similar to before, but we are going to test putting a piece of Titanal (titanium alloy) in the ski for added stiffness in the middle third of the ski. An X shape of the metal gives a great flex pattern keeping the first and last thirds getting softer as it gets closer to the tips for butter steeze and smooth pipe riding. Carbon fiber will still be there for the pop. We want to test if the metal can withstand the huge camber and not bend flat.

Prototype #3-extra fiberglass in middle third, extra carbon band in middle third. basically to do the same thing as the titanal, but without metal to see how it responds.

Prototpe #4-Totally new carbon wrap and fiberglass pattern. Testing a different pattern to try and get the flex we are looking for.

That's it. We (design team) should be on these this month and providing feedback. I am working on getting a .pdf file made for you guys to see the new graphics.

It's awesome that liberty is putting soo much work into designing new skis for next year. I know there graphic will be dope and by the sounds of it the already great construction of this years will be made even better for next year. Cant wait to see the new stuff.

Less of what you dont want, more of what you want. P-Crew.$

the pro twins will have a similar shape as this year, the switchblades will be pointy. The pointyness helps keep the tips fat for float, and the point cuts through soft snow. Also we want to do somthing different than the lame ass round tips that every other company has.
