2004 Acura TL Subwoofer help

Alright this is kind of a long shot, but are there any experts on this kind of stuff?

I want to hook up an aftermarket amp and sub to 2004 tl.

I know that it is possible to tap into the wires that are going into to the stock subwoofer,a and convert those into a low level output (RCA) using a line output converter. So where I'm running into trouble is where to find these wires and how to connect them. May I also mention I have one 12" alpine type r subwoofer, and a alpine mrp-500 amp that I want to use to power it. Any help is much appreciated car audio is not my thing

Thanks!

i'm all for DIY when it's not that hard, and when it's safe....but honestly man I'd bring it to your local car audio place and have it done right. My best friend wired his subs and amp himself, and in the middle of driving down the highway one day his backseat caught on fire because he wired it incorrectly.

just my .02.... but it seems like it'd be worth the money.

anybody had something similar done? how much did it cost you?

Yeah I feel you

But that shit is not cheap, I'm guessing your friend didn't have an inline fuse or vent correctly.

I just don't want to pay 60 an hour for a job that can be done in 15 min
