ive had both and madtrix are much better all aorund skis. 1080s r light and really soft. madtrix are very durable and wont break. id go wit the madtrix cuz they beat 1080s in bout every catagory

 
dont use the plate, it's worthless, it heavy, and gets in the way. no one uses it. depending or your size 172cm and 181cm.

I just finally rode my new 1080s and my new 1080 boots. its like they were sent from heaven for me. it could be that they are 13cms shorter than my old skis (old line darksides) or that my boots actually fit this time (I got my feet measured and whoa I was dumb before). but anyway, I love em. we'll see how they hold up.
