Yeah we also probably distributed some insane amount of stickers around then... I think one year we might have sent out like 50,000 of them. Maybe more.

Sad I missed that. Wish ns could get back to normal

There was a time in skiing where if you saw someone with twins you were instantly friends. That said there are a ton more people skiing now, and it's a major growth. It's not as small of a community, but there are a ton of people out there who shred who at least loosely follow NS.

Hoping the forums will pick back up once again though.

Everyone better be out looking for Chad's Gap, because if I get a clueless stare after asking one more dude in the park then I'm going to lose it...

I remember specifically between like 2006 and 2008 when NS was just full of awesome content, threads, and also really good shittalking threads.

Which ones specifically are you talking about?

We have a whole event tour now and we've done a bazillion versions of Gatherings over the years.

I attended the mt St Louis Moonstone back in 2008, when I lived in Owen Sound. There was a cool dual slopestyle contest at the same time.

Turn out was awesome. So many kids had NS stickers on their gear, but not too many were users. It was a time when NS trolls were quite active.

NS is completly unknown in the Kootenays. Id love to see more users in my area.

Oh fuck yeah, I think I remember that shit! Good times dude. If a Tell A Friend Tour stop comes near you, you should check it out. Even if you've aged up a bit, they're an absolute blast. Most of them I've been to have actually been cooler than what we used to do back in the day... But that does depend on who is there. :)

I'd love to be more known in the Kootenays. Lets figure it out.

Most tours and "ride togethers"are rare in the Western Kootenays. Most are in the US or Vancouver; places I dont go to due to time and money restrictions. I try to attend contests, but they dont advertise much. There is the Winter Carnival in Rossland that has a cool rail jam session in town and the Coldsmoke Powder fest at whitewater, but the turnout tends to be low and funding is dwindling the last few years. It would be sick to have an NS team to show our colors.

I know we are getting off topic, but I had this crazy idea to put on a Big Mountain Slopestyle session in the Backcountry. I found a few spots I scoped that would work really well. It will be away from the ski hills; build a few jumps to have a few venues over a couple days and session the hell out of them. Your always welcome at my place in Nelson to scope it out with me to plan something. I would be stoked to get something rolling. PM me if your interested

Any tour stops planned for the PNW?
